Some Powers Come from a Higher Calling.
When a team of Navy SEALs with "unique abilities" is ambushed on a clandestine mission to stop a human trafficking ring, the hunt for their killer is on...no matter how long it takes. As they narrow in on the corrupt corporation that still wants what they have, they must ascend through the ranks of the UFC Fighting Octagon to get close enough to strike. But as they do, what becomes abundantly clear is that this war goes beyond our world, and the soldiers in it represent a far greater battlefield than man was meant to know.

This book reads like the first of a series, though it also works as a one-off. It's a straightforward, solid page-turner read that starts with action, has plot developments framed by action, building to a finale that ends with even more action before the denouement.
I'd say the superpowers/divine gifts in question are done well, in that they're vividly described, helpful enough to be entertaining, but not so advantageous that they render the characters tediously invincible, the main protagonist undergoes meaningful character growth and development, and the conclusion is suitably satisfying while leaving open the possibility of sequels.
I may be mistaken, but I suspect that readers bringing an atheistic worldview and some theistic readers may be less likely to enjoy it, while readers of a particular theistic inclination may derive proportionately greater enjoyment. Finally, in what is probably more of a reflection of my own personal idiosyncrasies than anything else: for me, the biggest hurdle to suspension of disbelief was the female Navy SEAL character (there are no female Navy SEALs and only 2 that have completed Naval Special Warfare training that I know of at the time of writing this review at the end of 2023).
A respectable thriller with a supernatural bent
