About this listen
All young adults familiar with Robert Cormier's nationally acclaimed story of peer pressure at an exclusive prep school, The Chocolate War, will want to listen to this book. This brilliant sequel reveals what happens to devious Archie Costello when the students at Trinity School decide to take revenge on him. The school year is almost at an end, and the chocolate sale is past history. But no one at Trinity School can forget The Chocolate War. Devious Archie Costello, commander of the secret school organization called the Vigils, still has some torturous assignments to hand out before he graduates. In spite of this pleasure, Archie is troubled by his right-hand man, Obie, who has started to move away from the Vigils. Luckily Archie knows his stooges will fix that.
But won't Archie be shocked when he discovers the surprise Obie has waiting for him? And there are surprises waiting for others. The time for revenge has come to those boys who secretly suffered the trials of Trinity. The fuse is set for the final explosion. Who will survive?

Story
One night when Jane Jerome's family is away, four high schoolers invade her Cape Cod cottage and trash it. They slash the mattresses, smash the mirrors, flood the bathrooms, and rip the furniture apart. When Jane's sister, Karen, arrives home early and interrupts the destruction, she is sexually assaulted by the teens. The vandals are not hoods or gang members. They are ordinary teenagers from an upscale town looking for some action and finding it in Jane's house.

Story
In the back of Adam Farmer's mind, he always knew there was something not quite right about his family. It was more than just the fact that his dad seemed to be stoically going through the motions or that his sad-eyed mother spent most of her time in her room. Somewhere in the recesses of Adam's memory, he recalled a frantic journey in the middle of the night, hurried like criminals onto a bus, staring out the windows at some dark, malevolent thing none of them could see.

Ambrose Young was beautiful. He was tall and muscular, with hair that touched his shoulders and eyes that burned right through you. The kind of beautiful that graced the covers of romance novels, and Fern Taylor would know. She'd been reading them since she was 13. But maybe because he was so beautiful he was never someone Fern thought she could have...until he wasn't beautiful anymore.

As Excellent As the First Book!
Great book, the narrator really builds the suspense. If you enjoyed the first, I recommend giving this one a go as well.
