Publisher's summary

FBI agency brass and Sullivan family connections force Special Agent Bobbie Leighton into an undercover operation with inactive homicide detective Joe Sullivan. Posing as a wealthy Texas cattleman and his arm-candy wife, the two are assigned to infiltrate Bradley Sterling’s black-market operation. Suspected of baby trafficking, Sterling may be connected with Jimmy Sullivan’s murder.

How do Bobbie and Joe adhere to their professional code of conduct living under the same roof? Can they forget their personal history, ignore their volatile feelings for each other, and ensnare their target when they might be next on Sterling’s victims list?

This is the first story by K. M. Daughters I have read. The story is good, has a steady pace & a few twists and turns along the way. There is a prelog that ended up confusing the story rather than helping. The reasoning behind why the villain did what he/she did is very convoluted. You'll have to read it to find out who. Over all a good story.

Ted Brooks is okay as the narrator he gets most of the inflections and has the voices down. His steady pacing is a bit off putting (for example: no quickening during tense times), that may also be the reason the story itself seemed to plod along at times.

I received this audible story free from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Entertaining!

Another highly entertaining story from K.M. Daughters. This second book in The Sullivan Brother Series is Bobbie and Joe’s story. We met them both in the first book so it was nice to finally get their story. Once again we are entertained with action, suspense, romance and even some comic relief. Both Bobbie and Joe have very strong personalities so it takes them awhile to admit their feelings towards each other. Working together becomes both volatile and even comical at times. I certainly wasn’t bored at any point listening to this book! Of course Ted Brooks does an exceptional job with the narration bringing the story to life and making listening to this book extremely enjoyable. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am providing an unbiased review. I highly recommended this one; it is well worth it!
