About this listen

This kind of business can only be personal.

Sage Reese lives for her job. More precisely she lives for her debonair boss, Parker Andersen. Sage handles everything for Parker, even as she fantasizes about the one thing that isn't in her job description: him. But when a high-stakes account crosses the line from shady to deadly, a tough cop starts giving Sage the attention she wishes Parker would....

Detective Dean Ryker couldn't be more different from Parker. While Parker wears expensive suits like a second skin and drives a BMW, Ryker's uniform is leather jackets and jeans...and his ride of choice is a Harley. While Parker's sexiness is a reserved, slow burn, Ryker is completely upfront about what - and who - he's after. And Sage tops his list.

Now, as Ryker digs deeper into the dark side of Parker's business, Sage finds herself caught between two men: the one she's always wanted - and the one who makes her feel wanted like never before....

Was pretty good, will be waiting for the next book in this series to come out.

Good.

I'm usually a fan of this author but the female lead was pathetic the equivalent of the woman in the horror film that runs to the danger. it made me cringe when she kept throwing herself at her boss.

horrible female lead

I REALLY enjoyed this book! Tiffany Snow is a new author (for me) as was the narrator, and I'm definitely interested in exploring more. Power Play had suspense, romance, a little intrigue with a side of humor and it pulled me in chapter by chapter. The narration of the male characters was 'meh', but, overall the narrator was good. This story has a love triangle that conflicted me the entire way through; it wasn't your straightforward type of book where loyalties and intentions are obvious. It's a solid 4-star winner for sure!

THRILLING ROMANCE

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The mystery was interesting and I really wanted to know which man Sage would choose, but there were so many ridiculous aspects to this book, I finally had to stop listening. Perhaps this is best suited to very young adults.

Couldn't get thru the book.

Her stories always have so much tension that you can't help but fall in love with all the characters. This audiobook narration was great,.

Love Tiffany Snow

This book is a very good listen. It has a strong woman character who stands up for herself . She is funny and says what’s on her mind. Very enjoyable book.

Any additional comments?

Two guys and it's often hard to tell which one we are suppose to want for (too)-sweet Sage. At times they are both assholes and both hero's. Spoiler Alert: I'm not sure I agree with letting our heroine sleep with the guy she does...especially when she picks the other guy in the end. The ending was kind of predictable, I figured out what was going on about 1/4 of the way in. But the characters were kind of sweet and the story was...good (not great). I don't' feel the need to read the next book though.

Didn't know who to root for

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I am a huge fan of Tiffany Snow, but really felt this book let me down. While Snow has a talent for complicated and intriguing story lines, I feel like the ever present love triangle and naive and too-beautiful-for-her-own-good main character with an over commitment to a generally entry level job is getting old. Snow has a really likeable and discernible writing style that is distinct from most other authors I read; I hope that she will mix up the character dynamics in future series because she is one of my favorite writers who can combine mystery with romance.

What does Laura Hopatcong bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This was one of the few times I thought the reader's voice could match the character. This is an extremely important factor for me in an audiobook.

Eh. Just okay

I enjoyed this story but went in NOT knowing it's a cliffy! The story was good and so wish it had an HEA. But as I searched for the next book I see there is a 3rd book but it doesn't come out until 2016!! So this ends it for me!!!

Pretty Good!
