About this listen

The Dead Didn’t Rise on Their Own… They Were Sent.

When a long-buried fragment of the Tunguska meteorite is unearthed, an ancient and deadly pathogen is unleashed upon the world. What begins as a fever and body aches soon spirals into an apocalyptic nightmare as the infected transform into ravenous, near-indestructible creatures. Civilization crumbles in weeks, and the remnants of humanity are forced into desperate survival.

Three years later, Major Brian "Finn" Finnegan and his team of battle-hardened survivors fight to keep their last refuge alive in the Florida Keys. With supplies dwindling and the undead evolving into terrifying new forms, Finn must lead a high-risk mission into the ruined remains of Miami to secure vital resources. But what they uncover beyond the safety of the wall is far worse than anything they could have imagined. As the infected show signs of intelligence and coordination, the last stand of humanity may come sooner than anyone expected.

The Z’s aren’t mindless—they’re organized. And worse, they have allies. Some humans have chosen to side with the enemy, betraying their own for a chance to live. At the center of it all is Shaed, the terrifying and intelligent Queen of the Dead. She has a message for the last remnants of humanity:

Kneel… or be consumed.

For fans of World War Z and The Last of Us, Beyond the Wall is a relentless, action-packed thriller that redefines the zombie genre with a terrifyingly fresh twist.

The A.I. narration is absolute trash. Almost the entire book is read with the same inflection. Making full immersion into the story impossible.
The plot of the story is awesome.
But the Characters are consistently turned into slack jawed Idiots for the sole purpose of creating the next action scene.

Great plot. Garbage narration. And eye rolling action

The premise of the story was interesting but the vanilla narrator was just lackluster. I couldn’t really get into the story because certain words were mispronounced and the tone never changed, no inflection. Tessa was my fav character and she had no words in the story.

Good story but AI narrator made it bland

I would’ve given this review and much higher sky, where it not for the artificial intelligence narration I can’t give that more than one star Because it is after all artificially intelligence

The story line started a little boring but then picked up. I didn’t like the AI narrator. If the narrator would have been a real person the emotions of the characters would have been more interesting.

I really like the story. Had a nice twist. I normally turn down stories that have virtual voice as a narrator. This virtual voice was really good until it came to a few points where it was trying to express surprise or sarcasm.

Great story

Good plot and the characters were interesting. I look forward to another book and to get to know the characters more.

For zombie fans this is a great story. I have listed to at least two hundred zombie and apocalypse stories. The AI voice messes up and mispronounces too many words. And some of the fixes edited in are bad. But really great story. Can we just keep the human readers employed?

Good story, mediocre voice

I really loved the book but the AI generated narration was just so comically bad
