Publisher's summary

He’s big. He’s bad. His claws are epic.

Frantic to avoid detection, Lila hides for the night in a condemned outbuilding on the edge of town. She checks each bunk for comfort and rests on the one with a strangely enticing scent and falls into an exhausted sleep.

One problem - this place isn’t abandoned. Miners actually live here. And she’s chosen Zayzon’s bed. The loudest, tallest, and most sharp-clawed out of a band of tragically messy Xylan brothers who can’t clean to save their lives. And he keeps standing much too close. And sniffing her hair. And muttering something about mating compatibility.

Whatever.

She’s just that desperate, so she offers to become their housekeeper if they’ll let her stay. The brothers accept, and Lila cleans up their freaking mess, relieved to have somewhere safe to live. Meanwhile, Zayzon keeps insisting that she continue to sleep on his bunk. And she keeps accepting! Because it’s getting harder and harder to deny her attraction for his possessive gaze, razor-sharp claws and his large...um, personality?

But Lila can’t fall for anyone, even a scary male who turns out to be cuddly. Not when demons from her past are about to return for their down payment.

Can a human save an alien miner’s life, without breaking his heart?

very good as always

I would recommend every book I've read or listened to by this author. She does a good job of mixing romance, comedy, and hunky aliens.
small spoiler-

This book has a bit of the snow white fairy tale but don't take it for granted which way it will go.
The narrator is still very good too.

Big bad Claws...

Loved the story, some action, mystery, sabotage..intergalactic romance. I read the first book of the brother series and couldnt wait to find out more about loyal and dedicated brothers. They are messy and a bit recluse because they are known to be pigs ( domestic living). They just need a roof over their heads and a place to sleep and eat. They have the means to clean up but don’t since they work so much. Oops I hope I didn’t ruin anything. I recommend listening to this.

Loved it!!!

I loved this audio!! While I prefer male characters to be read by men I LOVE the way Lauren read them. She is one of my favorite narrators. The story itself was good. Good character build, nice storyline, enough details to keep you interested but not so much to drag the story. This one is a keeper!

Love

This is one of my favorite Michele Mills books and I loved listening to it while prepping for Christmas. Lauren Sweet really brought it to life and kept me engaged even though I am easily distracted listening to audiobooks.

Suspense and romance

Love the Fever brothers. They are so alpha and so protective and possessive of their mates and Zayzon was the same with Lila. This story felt like a version between Snow White and Goldilocks. Keep them coming. I am voluntarily reviewing this Audiobook.

not bad

Not a bad book. The story kept my attention and the male character sounded appealing, however, it was a drawback for me with the female doing something stupid to put herself in danger. I did like her trying to keep him safe thou.

Great!

Oh, Claws sure had me laughing and blushing at times. I love how he doesn't mince words and knew automatically his mate was near. I thought his brothers were hilarious! I did have a hard time with Lila at times because she would sound repetitive at times during her inner dialogues. I did like their pairing and their chemistry and found myself unable to stop listening because I wanted to get to the end. The narrator did a great job of trying to convey all the different characters.

Love can find you even when you least expect it.

I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a couple of exceptions. The story kept me guessing almost until the end. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Lila was in a difficult position given that she wanted to protect herself but also protect those that helped her. The beings that helped had questions that she couldn’t answer which made things difficult as well. Zayzon was shocked but happy that his mate had found her way to him. He wanted to protect her but he also wanted to test compatibility with her. There was some drama and angst. How the Fever Brothers integrated a new person into their close family was fun at times and frustrating at others. I liked how the story ended. I recommend reading this book.

Listening to the audiobook was great. The narrator did a good job with the story and differentiating between the characters. Personally, I prefer dual narration but I still liked this audiobook. I recommend listening to this audiobook.
