Publisher's summary

Blonde Faith: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience! *

Easy Rawlins, LA's most reluctant detective, comes home one day to find Easter, the daughter of his friend Christmas Black, left on his doorstep. Easy knows this could only mean the ex-Marine Black is probably dead or will be soon.

Easter's appearance is only the beginning, as Easy is immersed in a sea of problems. The love of his life is marrying another man, and his friend Mouse is wanted for the murder of a father of 12. As he's searching for a clue to Christmas Black's whereabouts, two suspicious MPs hire him to find his friend Black on behalf of the US Army.

Easy's investigation brings him to a blonde woman, Faith Laneer, whose past is as dark as her beauty is bright. As Easy begins to put the pieces together, he realizes Black's disappearance has its roots in Vietnam and that Faith might be in a world of danger.

*Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

It left me on the edge of my seat!

I can wait to see what happens next. Easy, Christmas or Ray are all entertained together.

Music not appreciated

The music distracts from the story and performance. The reader could better choose musical accompaniment themselves if it was desired.

Very enjoyable!!

I read this book some years ago and was happy to see the audible with the Booktrack edition. The background music made the listening of this very interesting. I also recognized the actor Michael Boatman as the narrator of this book and many others. I'll be listening to the next Easy book very soon. I had missed those characters and being able to now listen to Easy Rawlins is an added plus. I am a big fan of Walter Mosley books.
Michael Boatman did fantastic with the narration of Easy. Thoroughly enjoyed the Booktrack. Hope there is more out there like it. That really upped the enjoyment immensely.

decent book, not the best easy Rawlins book by far. Happy the series didn't end with this.

This should be names "Bonnie"

I can't take anymore of his pinning for Bonnie. I don't think there was a paragraph Easy didn't mention Bonnie who he had kicked out of his life over a year ago - story was just stuck ----
