About this listen

Napolean Mondragon is more than an immortal vampire. He's the sovereign lord of the house of Jadon, the very heartbeat of the race, and a fearsome leader who rules with wisdom, integrity, and strength. Even as Napolean carries the blood of every vampire in his veins, he also carries a dark secret of shame in his heart...a secret that will soon be used against him by his enemies.

When Brooke Adams arrives in Dark Moon Vale for a business conference, she is unaware of the hidden danger that dwells within the valley's majestic forest. A rising star in the corporate world, she has only one goal: to sell a leading-edge concept to her boss and advance her career. Little does she know her life is about to change forever.

Caught in a tangled web of vengeance and deception, Napolean and Brooke are forced to confront their inner demons. Together, they must fight to survive a savage blood possession.

I Love Eric G. Dove's narration. He expresses emotion as well as uses different voices for each character.

My favorite part is when Napoleon tells Brooke to come to him as he stands with arms open wide... such a tender moment.

Tessa Dawn has the ability to draw me into Dark Moon Vale... witnessing the scenes as they play out. Raw and Emotional. Love it.

This is dark fantasy done right.

Emotional Rollercoaster Ride!! A Must Read Series

Where does Blood Possession rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This audio version of the book is for lack of better words, utterly intense! Truly and completely an edge of your seat version! I love how the narrator makes the pages seem to come to life! Brooke Adams is one lucky lady! I would love to firstly, visit a place like Dark Moon Vale and secondly have an Uber vampire, the King of the Vampyr; telling me that I am his “Destiny”! BIG Sigh!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!

Any additional comments?

I am SO looking forward to #4, Blood Shadows!!!! Hurry PLEASE Tessa! SUPER BIG Sigh!

ALL HAIL Napolean Mondragon!

I just recently learned about this series, and must admit I'm hooked! The stories are very well told, and still great romances without the constant overwhelming sex scenes that tends to overshadow the story like so many other writers' series. The narrator isn't good with women's voices, but overall he does a great job of telling the story. And honestly, one of the few narrators I don't cringe when I listen to. The only way to make it better, would be to add a woman's voice to do the parts being told or spoken by women. Anyone into vampire romance novels will be absolutely thrilled with this series!

Wonderful addition to the series!

What made the experience of listening to Blood Possession the most enjoyable?

I felt as if I was a part of the story itself. I cried, laughed and felt helpless as the characters did. The story and the way it is read is amazing. I find myself wanting the book to just keep going!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Blood Possession?

There were several moments, but I have to say when the greatest leader they'd had, Napolean fell to the tricks and deception of the enemy I was overwhelmed. I could not imagine how Tessa Dawn could possible redeem this thing that had happened. However, true to her amazing storytelling gifts she did redeem him and much more. It was magnificent.

What about Eric G. Dove’s performance did you like?

He is excellent. He just seems to get right into the heart of the characters and pulls you in with then.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were a couple of places in the story where I felt so overwhelmed with what was happenng, I had to put the book down for a few minutes and then come back. I felt like I could scream for the characters and then at times I did cry and then I'd find myself laughing. Yes, you cannot hear Tessa Dawn's story and not have extreme emotions--not possible.

Any additional comments?

I have recommended Tessa Dawn's story to my friends, and have told them how amazing the audio reading by Eric Dove is. Honestly, I think whether you are a man or a woman, strong or sensitive, fearful or fearless you will love this book if you are a dark fantasy fan.

Over the top AWESOME

I like the characters. The story line is great. Sometimes I wish they would get to the point faster. However, at the end of every book in this series is a great cliffhanger that leaves you desperate to get to the bottom of it. I'm already downloading the next book.

Great Series

Wow... Another exciting, edge of your seat, emotional story by Tessa Dawn "Blood Curse" series. The Vampyr King has a troubled heart that lingers from his past. Little does he know his enemies are using his demons aganist him. Napolean Mondragon is the heart n soul of his race. He has lived a little over 2800 years and lost all hope of meeting his Destiny. Until now, and she too has a past that haunts her...

Again, the people of Dark Moon Vale.... Has to fight with dark ones to save their Sovereign Lord... The Silivasi Brothers once again experience, loyalty, integrity, wisdom, and sacrifice to save their King from "Blood Possession"

When Brook meets Napolean she resists, enters into his world with fear and of her own haunting past. Together they help each other confront their demons. Together they both finally find peace, comfort, and know they are soulmates till the end of time!

Beautifully and Tastefully written!!! Love your series Tessa!!! I have re-listened to these stories numerous times. Now I have ordered the first 3 books to add to my collection. I am so glad I came across your Audible books by random! Can't wait for Echo to come out!!! ~ Julie 💞

What made the experience of listening to Blood Possession the most enjoyable?

Two elements are essential in any audio book. There must exist a great story and it must be read by a fabulous narrator. Tessa Dawn has already provided us with a great story. The Blood Curse Series remains one of the most original vampire series in recent years. Her words alone make you care about the characters. When read by Eric Dove the story and characters leap from the page, surround you and make you feel as if you are a part of the tale.

What did you like best about this story?

Book 2 gave us a sense of Napolean's power. Blood Possession takes that and multiplies it by a factor of 1000! I found it fascinating to learn the extent of that power as well as the strength it takes to find balance between that power and the memories and guilt of the past.

What does Eric G. Dove bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This series is truly exceptional and I love the way he gives life to these powerful warriors...light and dark.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Without spoiling anything...yes...during those terrifying moments when Brooke needed Napolean most I reacted in a way that I suspect most would, when they want to protect someone they care for. His ability to focus through that again shows why he is who he is!

There is a reason Napolean is the king!

This was a very good story. I really enjoyed all if it. These vampires are so awesome and bad a$$! I really liked Brooke she was pretty funny, smart and beautiful. Napoleon was awesome. I am glad the king found his destiny in the 3rd book. The chemistry between the two is good. There is a sex scene, nicely written not BDSM or erotica at all. Actually it was mildly written.

The story line and plot were very good. The story flowed very nicely and was very exciting, you just wanted to know what was going to happen next. I like that these Vampires are so powerful. There is quite a bit of dialogue throughout the book. I love lots of dialogue.

This is a great series. You really need to start with the first book. And I highly recommend them all so far. Book Two is still my favorite. I really like Marquis's story!

As for the narration. It was amazing. I love Eric Dove! He is such a good narrator. All the women sound like women. All the characters have their own distinct voice. He reads with emotion. His reading voice is so soothing and easy on the ears.

He actually sang in this book! I swear, it was awesome. This guy can sing too! Loved it!

Exciting, Entertaining and Eric Dove can Sing!

One suggestion is that you find another word or phrase to take the place of “all intents and purposes.” It is used A LOT. I love your writing so this is just a preference.

Love this series and have read it over and over…..
