About this listen

The truth will set you free... if it doesn't get you killed.

Savannah Slade is not the person she thought she was. The reading of her "father's" will has led her to a world-shattering revelation: her sisters are not her blood kin, and she may be the heiress to a massive fortune. Her not-quite-fiancé Judd doesn't care where she came from - he only wants her by his side. But the primal need to uncover her past wins out, and Savannah trades the Montana ranges for Miami's moneyed oceanside enclaves.

The wealthy and powerful Stoss family is less than overjoyed to find that Gerald Stoss's daughter has emerged from the past. But theirs is a clan seldom troubled by inconveniences. They've always had the means to eradicate any blemish on their perfect lives. One more won't make a difference.

Very Good Story

Entertaining, riveting in places, action, intrigue and sorrow; this story kept me listening till I finished it. I was listening to it while grocery shopping it was that good. The tale that was spun was; what lengths a person would go to for power and money. Our heroine was a very brave young woman with lots of moxie. I really loved her attorney Thomas Jefferson, you could tell he was one of a kind. The story moved along swiftly, didn't bog down, wasn't drawn out and had a satisfying ending.
Yes worth a credit.

Nice Bit of Entertainment

This is a good listen, but if you haven't listened to or read the other books in the series you will not be able to follow parts of it. This is the second book in the series, and without the first book, one will feel lost. And you need the third book (read after listening to this one) to feel the satisfaction of having actually finished the series.

Great story...it kept me on my toes the whole time

Where does Blood Ties rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Blood Ties is a totally different book that I am used to reading, but regardless of that I really enjoyed the suspense and story line.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Thomas Jefferson the attorney. I would love to run into an attorney like that on the street.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The best moment in the book was when Savannah Slade walks in the room at the end when Joseph Stoss thinks she is deceased. It was priceless!!!

Any additional comments?

I loved the story but I think it went overboard in the story when they had to include the boating incident where the boat blew up and they killer was in the room beside Savannah's room. Just a little too much going on in the story and it was not related to what was really happening, I started getting confused with who's was who in the story.

Good Story

I enjoyed the story. Narrator was OK, but story would have been better with male and female narrators.

Awesome!

What about Madison Vaughn’s performance did you like?

Madison does the great voices, she knows how to stay on track with each charactor so that I never had to guess who's dialog I was hearing. Great voice with a fairly even audio level. I just hate having to turn the volumm up and down! Madison got the emotions across with out the flux in volumm control.

Any additional comments?

A thriller, comedy, romance and tear jerker all in one! The plots twists and turns, just when I thought I knew what was next... it changed! LOL! Just love a book that can keep me in suspense. My husband really enjoyed it to, (I heard him laugh out loud a few times)

GOOD STORY, LITTLE SEX

The story was interesting, good plot. There should be continuing stories about the sisters of Savannah. Hmmm , we will see. But the erotica / sex / left little to be desired. Not much there. So if you like little sex , and a good plot , this book would be for you.

The fact that money doesn’t buy everything

Cursing!! I can do without profanity!! I don’t understand why they have to put any curse words in! There is no need for it!

Boring, repetitive and predictable.

Would you try another book from Sharon Sala and/or Madison Vaughn?

No for Sala. Read one, you've read them all. Vaughn's issue was the material, so I'd probably give her another shot.

What was most disappointing about Sharon Sala’s story?

The books were so repetitive and boring. Should have been one book or a series of short stories.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Annoyance and disappointment.

" Not Happy"

I am on the second hour of this book and not sure if I can finish it... I don't like the reader and I'm not sure the story can get me thur the rest, pretty sappy and predictable. :-(

Interesting premise, bad execution

The story idea was interesting, but it seemed like a first time, by the formula, attempt at writing. It all felt very amateurish. Perhaps I'll give this author another chance in a few years if she manages to get more novels published and see if her style improves, but at this point in time, I would not recommend this book.
