About this listen

This isn't a fairytale.

I dethroned Prince Charming long ago. They call me the King of darkness and death. Ruler of the underworld.

My reign is ruthless, my word is the law. If I want it, I take it, regardless of the bloodshed.

But then she walks into my life. I don't want her, I need her.

She can fight, she can beg, but her fate is sealed. Until her debt is paid, she's mine. She ran from her old life, but she can't outrun me.

Welcome to my Bloody Kingdom, Quincey Page.

Contains mature themes.

🔻🔻 FANG-FREAKIN-TASTIC 🔻🔻

I’ve always got room in my library for another good Vampire romance so I took a chance on this new to
me Author’s paranormal romance. And I can happily say that it wasn’t just good - it was fantastic. However, be warned, it’s a Duet and has one hell of a bite to the brutal and bloody whoa cliffhanger ending. A cliffhanger that’s left me bloodthirsty for more but sadly I’ll have to wait twelve whole days before book 2 comes out 😩.

Silas is cold, ruthless, dangerous, tense, handsome.. and a 387 yo Vampire King bound to the night. Quincey is caring, kind, feisty, loveable, loyal, wise and his 24 yo pawn bartered for her father’s debts. Ex Nurse Quincey is brought in to look after a beloved dying member of Silas’ staff. Nobody talks back to Silas like Quincey can.. and there’s chemistry, desire and attraction bubbling between them. However, there’s secrets, suspense, drama, deaths and danger in the mix too. And, when Quincey’s warmth and light finally gets through Silas’ impenetrable walls and unearths his truths and broken past, his control breaks, and he deliciously turns into a possessive, protective, passionate lover. It’s sizzling and sexy.. there’s warmth and heart.. tender and touching.. shocks and suspense.. and a handful of secondary characters. But, lurking in the shadows, planning and pulling disruptive dangerous strings, lies an old powerful enemy who has waited centuries for his bloody hideous revenge.

Worth a credit? Yes this first bite of the Duet is refreshingly new and delicious - and I can’t wait to sink my fangs into book 2. The world-building and unfolding of the storyline is entertaining and very enjoyable as Quincey and Silas manoeuvre around each other for a while before accepting their strong connection. For me, the narration was a wee bit slow.. but perfect when I set the speed at 1.5.. but unfortunately that meant the book didn’t last so long 😢.

Kinda your normal vamp story

The story was ok. Pretty normal vamp problems. Wasn't bad but didn't find it awesome. The male narrator was better then the female. The female just seems to try to hard to add emotion. But writing a book and doing narration I'm sure are not easy so it wasn't bad just ok for me!
