On the better side of average…

A great audiobook will keep me listening without having to repeat chapters.

This isn’t the case with Blow. It never quite incites the anticipation and angst that truly great stories do.

However, it is ultimately good enough to finish. Joe Arden is exceptional as always. I’m not the biggest fan of Maxine Mitchell’s voicing. Something about her manner makes the female characters somewhat dull - especially when the inner dialogue drones on and on.

Ahh Yeah! Let the sparks fly!

What did you love best about Blow?

The humor in the slang sayings and how Camden & Keegan turn sparks into fireworks!

Have you listened to any of Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I do not recall listening to these narrators but they were terrific.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to this book throughout the day. I could not put it away.

Any additional comments?

You must listen to this one. A true modern romance that will give you butterflies.

Heroine's stupidity is an embarrassment to Women

Seriously, the heroine has got to be the stupidest woman in the world. I totally understand the mental trauma she’d experienced (and continued to) but there is no excuse for being an idiot. Each time she brushed something off, great disappear and pain followed yet she continued to ignore all the red flags and evidence. On top of it all, she was setup which should have led to life in prison, but did she stay away from the person who she knew intentionally put her livelihood at risk and set her up….. you got it NOPE. All with the rational that,” I just love my niece so much I can’t afford to lose one second with her,” never mind, that if it wasn’t for Logan’s brilliance, the setup would have led to her never seeing her niece again, because she would have spent the rest of her life in prison. . Likewise, every assumption she made was wrong, well, not most of the time but 100% of the time, (it’s more apt to say someone in a coma state) could’ve comprehended the warnings, hints, and in many cases visual proof ( a picture (behaviors of others) is worth a 1,000 words and all) presented to her. After being wrong at every instance, anyone would have been able to figure out, maybe there is something wrong with the decisions and assumptions I’ve been making, not Elle.
She willingly placed herself in danger and made horrible theories (maybe the Author forgot to mention she was mentally slow). OK, I’m done with the rants. I have nothing good to say about her other than she really loved her niece, Clementine, and was very forgiving. Overall, the book was OK, not great. It was a distraction from boredom, I would not have purchased it if not for that. I can say, there were twist and turns in the plot and each time you thought the book was going in one direction, boom, it changed. If you love stories with twist and turns, this one would be good for you. Warning, if this is your first book by this author, I urge you to try another one of her series first (you will be able to better assess her writing skills) . Logan (the hero), was a great character and consistently sacrificed himself for everyone he knew. Both he and his family. As with other stories, it was sad at times (this one more often than not) and I can only remember the brief times she was with her niece and Logan’s relationship with his father and grandfather as the only happiness the book possessed. This one was a cliffhanger, and I only purchased book two because I was curious (nosey) about how it would end.

Couldn't finish

Not sure if it was the female lead (the actual story as written) or the narrator but I am so tired of listening to this chic blabbing, overthinking, blabbing some more, lying, talking more, and more talking. Just too much. Annnddd...still talking.
