About this listen

Falling for a coworker is rarely a good idea, especially for a man getting a last chance at salvaging his career. But from the moment Dwyer Knolls sees the beautiful but socially awkward Takeo Hiroyuki, he seems destined to make bad decisions.

Takeo's life is a string of failed attempts to please his traditional Japanese father. Unfortunately, succeeding in business turns out to be just as difficult for Takeo as changing from gay to straight. In fact, the only thing Takeo seems to truly excel at is taking notice of Dwyer Knolls.

When Dwyer and Takeo head to Mangrove, Florida on a real estate buying trip, their tentative friendship combusts and becomes much more. Is their sudden connection real enough to bank their futures on, or should they chalk the whole thing up to the daze inspired by the blue ocean breeze?

Wonderful

What a wonderful story! I loved the romance and perspective - strong, down to earth, romantic without rotting your Cupid’s teeth. Great great story and a great reading. I’m in love. :)

Wonderful Narration, Good Story

What did you love best about Blue Days?

I LOVED the way the narrator gave great life to each of the characters.

Would you be willing to try another book from Mary Calmes? Why or why not?

Possibly. I think there was a lot of promise to be had with the characters, but the focus was on the wrong part of the story (their jobs instead of their relationship)

Have you listened to any of Greg Tremblay’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to him before, but I certainly would have no problem picking up another one of his narrated books in the future.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, absolutely. I liked the way the narrator's voice sounded soothing, not tiresome or annoying.

Slow burn

The story moves a little slow, background and build up, but worth the wait! Very sweet and romantic.

Had to dock one star for the Narrator...

Loved the book, and the narration; however, pronouncing the name of a well known actor incorrectly is just wrong. It's Keanu Reeves, NOT Canoe Reeves...

Mary, Mary You've Done It Again!

This was a truly delightful, simple and uncomplicated love story. Although short, Ms. Calmes manages to paint characters with so much realism that I was thoroughly immersed in the story within minutes.

Mr. Tremblay is a talented narrator with a gift for giving voice and depth to the characters he portrays.

A satisfying listen replete with passionate love scenes between the leading men. So there is something here for everyone who loves a good M/M romance.

Excellent, short but special

Mary Calmes is one of my favorite authors and this is no exception. It would have been more satisfying had it been twice and long and some of the first two years covered. But that's not a bad thing.... wanting more.

Aww

Who knew you could pack so much story into so few hours - apparently Mary Calmes did. Blue days was a short, emotional, and sexy listen. Definitely worth the credit.

Warm and fuzzy

I just LOVE this author. I have been deciding for some time what exactly it is that makes me love her books so much, and now I realize it is because they make me feel warm and fuzzy. The stories are always interesting, I love the characters, and I love the way she writes. I love the L’Ange series, and Frog, but my absolute favorite is Mine. And I love this narrator too.
