Historical Fiction/Love Story

Historical fiction is not usually a genre that I read (or in this case listen), but this was recommended to me and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is a heartbreaking story of one family and the devastation that they experienced when the Berlin Wall went up in 1961, but it’s also the story of love & survival.

The story was well written and kept me invested until the very end. I enjoyed that it was read by the author herself. I look forward to reading more from this new author.
