About this listen

It's been twenty years since the five friends known as the 'Lightning Five' visited their hunting cabin together. Twenty years spent living in the shadow of something they did in high school - an event that forever defined them in the minds of everyone in their small town.

Now they're returning to the cabin to reminisce about old times and forget their troubles...but mother nature has other plans in mind. Before too long, supplies will be running low and the Lightning Five will have to make some hard choices - like who gets to live and who has to die...

Not my favorite

Brian Freeman is one of my favorite authors but I did not enjoy this story. I was expecting another mystery. I guess sci-fi is not my genre of choice.

Wrong author

I bought this book thinking it was written by Brian Freeman, it's not, but a good novella. I don't think I will read anything else by this author because his writing style is 'just okay' nothing fancy.
The story is predictable and the characters are not particularly likable. I didn't care whether they survived their trial by fire or not. The supernatural part was okay but there was no background to make any of it believable.
I would recommend this book if you can buy if for under $2.00 or free.

Good, but horrifying!

well-written, but the story contains scenes that are upsetting. Bears and raccoons and deer - Oh my!!
