Publisher's summary
In 1995, Gene Huff, one of Bob Lazar’s friend said this of him: “If I had to describe Bob Lazar in one word, I’d call him “productive”. Bob doesn’t watch television unless it’s the news or weather channel. He doesn’t waste one moment of his life preoccupying himself with irrelevant minutia like the rest of us. Bob couldn’t tell you who was in the super bowl or the world series, and if the baseball strike never ends, it won’t affect his life one bit. He’s busy with one scientific project or another and he certainly isn’t sitting around wondering what we’re saying about him on the internet.”
This book will delve into the fascinating world of Bob Lazar, including his early life and his education which is wrought with controversy and conspiracy theories, his relationships, his media appearances, and his role in the Area 51 folklore.

In a gay nightclub in Orlando on June 12, 2016, the shooter, Omar Mateen, murdered 49 people and wounded 53 others. The attack was the deadliest act of violence against the LGBTQ+ community in US history and the deadliest terrorist attack in the United States since 9/11. But there’s a story you haven’t heard. The FBI had a secret history with the shooter and his father. To obscure that history, the FBI pushed a false story that the media dutifully carried—that the attacker was a secretly gay Islamist extremist who had chosen to target Pulse and planned the attack for weeks.

Monster stories aren’t just meant to entertain. They’re meant to inform, even educate. Above all, they ask us to question our own humanity. Nowhere is this truer than in stories of serial killers. What are the origins of this monstrous archetype? Why are we so fascinated with such gruesome terror? What do they reveal about our fears and anxieties? Explore these and other questions in Serial Killers: Real and Imagined, where public scholar Emily Zarka looks at the serial-killer trope across history, from murky 17th-century legends to 21st-century true-crime obsessions.

Best-selling author Bryan Burrough recently made a shocking discovery: The small town of Temple, Texas, where he had grown up, had harbored a dark secret. One of his high school classmates, Danny Corwin, was a vicious serial killer. In this chilling tale, Burrough raises important questions of whether serial killers can be recognized before they kill or rehabilitated after they do. It is also a story of Texas politics and power that led the good citizens of the town of Temple to enable a demon who was their worst nightmare.

At the height of World War II, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, was home to 75,000 residents, consuming more electricity than New York City. But to most of the world, the town did not exist. Thousands of civilians - many of them young women from small towns across the South - were recruited to this secret city, enticed by solid wages and the promise of war-ending work. Kept very much in the dark, few would ever guess the true nature of the tasks they performed each day in the hulking factories in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains.

Fascinating story! Well narrated, great voice.
This is such an interesting story. All the UFO stuff is interesting and Bob Lazar was a central character in much of it. This audiobook is well written and narrated.

This is just a summary of Bob's autobiography. Read that instead. It's much better and begins with facts. This begins with theories.
