Publisher's summary
This is an audiobook of pure science fiction. As if I could really have that happen to me and stay alive. I hope you like this continuing fantasy that came as a result of PTSD-influenced nightmares. I used this story to "interrupt" those dreams.
This story follows the adventure of an ordinary disabled veteran who gets immense power, based as lightning and plasma energies. He is recruited by the FBI and sent on many missions related to today's issues, things occurring in the future, and those occurring in the past.
These missions are now going through time and “picking up the pieces” as our hero encounters time traveler after time traveler, from 100 years in the future to the past and today. This, in its awesome fashion, lets our "hero" show exactly what he is able to do and come up with in the way of devices. He builds and destroys things while other times reading and manipulating people's minds using the electrical impulses within the brain. He fixes damage to standard events, those forward and backward in time, and maybe involving space a bit, and restores them to their original state.
No more hints so I don't give the whole story away. Enjoy!
By the way, there is a lot of historic information provided throughout this audiobook, so it is also a learning story, not just science fiction. That ought to confuse the listeners and reviewers a bit. I hope you like the way I incorporate that information into the story to make it a more educational and interesting audiobook. And now we begin Bolt’s new missions....

Story
In what is considered one of Heinlein's most hair-raising, thought-provoking, and outrageous adventures, the master of modern science fiction tells the strange story of an even stranger world. It is 21st-century Luna, a harsh penal colony where a revolt is plotted between a bashful computer and a ragtag collection of maverick humans, a revolt that goes beautifully until the inevitable happens. But that's the problem with the inevitable: it always happens.

Our universe is ruled by physics, and faster-than-light travel is not possible - until the discovery of The Flow, an extradimensional field we can access at certain points in space-time that transports us to other worlds, around other stars. Humanity flows away from Earth, into space, and in time forgets our home world and creates a new empire, the Interdependency, whose ethos requires that no one human outpost can survive without the others. It's a hedge against interstellar war - and a system of control for the rulers of the empire.

In 1979, a secret unit was established by the most gifted minds within the US Army. Defying all known accepted military practice - and indeed, the laws of physics - they believed that a soldier could adopt the cloak of invisibility, pass cleanly through walls and, perhaps most chillingly, kill goats just by staring at them. Entrusted with defending America from all known adversaries, they were the First Earth Battalion. And they really weren't joking. What's more, they're back and fighting the War on Terror.

Story
Jamie Wagner is a young lawyer who is happy to be flying under the radar at a large firm doing background research for the partners. It's not that he isn't smart. He is. It's just that hard work, the whole legal world, isn't really his thing. Underachiever? Yes. Content? At least until the firm puts him on a case that turns his whole world upside down.

Long before the waterboarding controversy exploded in the media, one CIA agent had already gone public. In a groundbreaking 2007 interview with ABC News, John Kiriakou called waterboarding torture - but admitted that it probably worked. This book, at once a confessional, an adventure story, and a chronicle of Kiriakou's life in the CIA, stands as an important, eloquent piece of testimony from a committed American patriot.
