About this listen
A snowshoe cat with a secret.
A burglar stealing more than just Christmas presents.
Can Ellie and Evie unwrap the mystery before the town’s holiday cheer disappears?
Christmas in Tablerock, Texas is usually a time of joy and goodwill, but this year, a string of burglaries has the town on edge. When a mischievously secretive snowshoe cat named Blitzen seeks refuge at Silver Circle Cat Rescue, Ellie and Evie Rockwell suspect the cat is no victim—and Blitzen may hold the key to solving the crimes.
With Blitzen’s cryptic hints, the mother-daughter duo must navigate a blizzard of suspects and motives to catch the burglar before they strike again. But as they unravel the tangled tinsel of clues, they realize this is no ordinary thief—and the next target could be them.
This Christmas, the only thing colder than the Texas winter is the heart of a small town thief.

My life was going just fine by most standards. I ran a successful business in a tight-knit magical community, and lived just blocks from a beautiful lake and series of hiking trails. Then Selene showed up. According to some magical code I inherit my aunt's ancient familiar; a grumpy ten-pound cat with a broken filter. She fancies herself something of a saber-toothed tiger, and claims to have wrestled the thread of her ninth life from the hands of the Fates themselves—although, I'm pretty sure that last part isn't true. Almost positive.

Wonderful mystery
Another wonderful story in this series! The author does a good job still moving these characters along. I loved the Christmas theme that ran through this one. The narration in here is well done. Meghan Kelly does a great job with all the different personalities that come to life in this one.

Another Great Mystery in Tablerock!
This series is so awesome! I love the way Ellie, Landon and Evie investigate the mysteries together with the rest of the group. It’s Christmas time in Tablerock and we have a new cat and a new mystery. I loved this story so much and enjoyed that Floofy and Belladonna were included in the story a little more than usual. Great ending to the book and I can’t wait for the next book in this series. Meghan Kelly is awesome as narrator. Her voices for each person were unique and perfect. I especially love her voicing of Floofy!

Fabulous book and series!
This 9th book is a wonderful addition to the Silver Circle Cat Rescue series by Leanne Leeds. Several seemingly unrelated crimes are occurring during Thanksgiving weekend. Ellie, Evie and Landon and the cats all work together to uncover the villains trying to wreck the small town charm of Tablerock, TX. I love the ending and hope there are many more adventures for this group! These books get better as the characters develop and their relationships grow. Ellie and Evie have a realistic and relatable tug-of-war typical of mothers and daughters as the child gains independence. I love how the magical elements in the story enhance the connection between the humans and animals and wish I had a pair of those earrings.
The performance by Meghan Kelly is the outstanding. She uses her many talents to create unique voices, accents etc to narrate the book and bring the characters and story to life. In keeping with the Thanksgiving theme, I am thankful that such a talented writer and talented narrator came together to create this series of audiobooks. They are a perfect pairing like pumpkin pie and whipped cream.

What a fun story with a lot of mystery and magic tossed in. There were magic cat Cristals so they could talk with the cats. Meghan did a professional job narrating it. She can keep my attention to the very end. I love how she does male and female characters with ease.

Catattude Aplenty and So Much More! The Cats Meow!
Ellie, Evie, and ohhh my that handful of energy Floofy really get put through their paces when a cryptic cat becomes the latest resident of the Silver Circle Cat Rescue in “Boots, Blitzen, and Burglary”, A Cozy Magic Midlife Mystery! One thing is for certain, the beautifully drawn and defined characters, (especially Blitzen and Floofy) absolutely steal the show in this fabulously written, character driven, story! I just love Floofy’s “heart”, I love how he engages with the other characters, and I love the depth of feeling those interactions bring to this story. Blitzen’s character is cryptic, snarky genius! He is the perfect foil to Floofy, providing not only delightful mystery and intrigue, but a wonderful twist that is not only stunning, but beautifully satisfying! In the interest of preserving the “mystery” for future listeners, the details won’t be shared here, but know everything about this story really is perfect. I love it when a story goes deeper than “just entertainment”, and once again our author does not disappoint! The story is beautifully written, emotional, and deals with real issues faced by real people in a sensitive, non-sensationalized manner. Along the way I had many, many moments of laughter, a few of righteous anger, quite a few “awwws” and some tears, at all times feeling “as one” with the characters, and throughly “in the moment” with the story! A big contributing factor is the narration. This, THIS, is a master class in narration! The voicing choices for these characters are spectacularly spot on! 100% fitting the character’s personality and 100% authentically consistent THROUGHOUT with perfectly clear emotional intonation! When I went to check my pre-review notes, there were none, zip, nada! Everything had been so clearly presented that I hadn’t needed to take any! I knew who was speaking, what the mood was, everything the author wanted to convey, was conveyed PERFECTLY, leaving no doubt that presentation is undoubtedly the author’s vision coming to perfect, vibrant, beautiful life! I adored every single second! Honestly, this just might be my series favorite, and when you listen you’ll see why! Five fantastic stars!

Leanne Leeds writes a good entertaining mystery
Leanne Leeds writes a good entertaining mystery, clean and suitable for all ages. Meghan Kelly really has a knack for animal voices and human alike. Her narration really brings the characters to life and I can recognize each human and cat by their voice now. This story is exciting and fast paced with Floofy the star of the show, that kitten is a real hoot! I really love this series and recommend them for a laugh and the enjoyment they bring!

Funny, exciting and very entertaining
I had a great time hearing this story. This is my favorite of the nine. I was laughing when Belladonna kept making remarks about each situation they were in. The discovery of the true thief was fascinating. The way the detective team dived right into cracking another mystery was incredibly endearing.
In addition to being enjoyable, I appreciate that this series has a little romance and some lessons to be learnt.
Meghan Kelly, the narrator, was excellent as usual. Every character has a distinct personality and voice.

Still fun, but not as good as others in the series.
The continuing story and character development is still good. I enjoy this series. this one though I thought the writing was not as good as most of the others. it seemed a bit cobbled together and a lot of repetitive phrasing was very noticeable. Also I believe there was one spot where a character who would not have been able to hear them, said something in response to something a cat said. Floofy's vocabulary seemed too adult as well, dealing with abstract concepts which should be too advanced for him at his age, even as a teenager. it made it a little less believable. it was also more predictable throughout than previous offerings.
Meghan Kelly does the dialogue and character voices well, and overall I enjoy her reading of the series. this time it seemed like there were some weird long pauses mid sentence and some mispronounced words. for example the stress put on the wrong syllable for words she may be less familiar with and wrong tone of voice for the emotions described.
Overall I still liked the book, story and characters most of all. I just feel like this was maybe rushed to publication and could have done with more editing and the things already mentioned. It was just somewhat disappointing when so much of the rest of the series was so good, that these things stood out.
