Publisher's summary

The big bad boss wants me to play fake fiancée for the weekend.
We played this game once when we were kids.
Then I broke his heart.
Now he's here to huff and puff and blow my little house down.

Today is the first day at my new job!
New outfit. New hair. New me.

Everything was excellent,
Until I took a wrong turn into the men’s locker room…

Shock doesn’t begin to describe seeing my ex half naked with nothing but a towel around his fit as hell v-line.

Some called our young love, puppy love.
I called it, down right insanity.

The way I wanted him would turn a housewife into a nun.
But then I pushed him away, afraid to get hurt.

Most stories say the guy is the problem.
But in this tale, I’m the problem.

So when he had the audacity to ask me to play fake fiancée for the weekend I was dumbstruck.

I almost said no.
I most definitely…
should have said NO.

Lighthearted story with a little spice😜

Good read. They like most stories hide behind their feelings while things spin out of control. Good story nonetheless.

Good story

While I really liked the story, I’m not a huge fan of the virtual voice. That said, this is the 4th book by this author with AI narration I’ve listened to in as many days. It seems like the voice might be “learning” some of the nuances of voice acting. I mean that there are more inflections with a bit of excitement and that one character had a slightly different voice from the MC’s.

The writing by this author is really good and the dialogue isn’t cheesy at all. The progression of the actual romance was appropriate, even though the sexy times happened pretty quick. The MC’s do have a history though, so there’s that.

Good story! But not a fan of the virtual voice

I really enjoyed the story. I got sucked in and felt invested enough to endure the virtual narration. My first issue was at times I found it hard to tell the difference between the male / female parts. And the lack of emotion that real narrators bring to the story. Overall the book was free and worth a listen

Virtual Voice truly horrible

The virtual voice is a sort of "light " male voice, but it was used for the female and the male parts. Indistinguishable. This inability to tell who was speaking made the story harder to follow - not that it was a difficult story line. Also the vv Intonation was off. It definitely made the story flat flat flat. No propulsion at all.

Narration a D-

AI is a thing, but if we have to use it, can’t you have the female and male voice differentiated? Why not use some of the great narrators of all time, like Anna Fields to create the Ai recording? I still prefer live narrators.
