About this listen

Pawning my grandma's bracelet was supposed to be temporary—not contractually bind me to a breathtaking naga.

Now I'm working off my debt at Sundar’s pawn shop, trying not to stare at his powerful tail, or imagine all the wicked ways he could pin me down with it...

But Sundar isn’t just hard to resist—he’s impossible to read. One moment he’s cold-blooded and controlled. The next, his possessive instincts are wrapping tighter than his coiled tail.

I know better than to fall for my boss. But the more time I spend under his golden gaze, the more I wonder... What happens when a naga decides to keep what's his?

Bound to the Naga is a spicy standalone monster romance featuring a brooding, possessive naga hero, plenty of sizzling tension, and a heroine who definitely isn’t as careful as she should be. Perfect for fans of dangerously hot monsters. Guaranteed HEA included!

Sundar and Aubrey
This book in the beginning brought a few tears to my eyes when Aubrey had to pawn her grandmother's bracelet ( a family heirloom). Mostly I chuckled with the banter between Aubrey, Sunday, and Maggie ( Aubrey's best friend). I loved how they went against prejudices and bad exs. This book is packed with drama, steam, a lots of colorful characters. I truly enjoyed this book.

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 4/5 Spicy

I'm going to be very honest here in that I am not usually one to listen to audiobooks as I read faster than it being read aloud and have an audio-processing disorder so I can only speed it up so much before my brain says "nah mate stop that."

With that in mind, I grabbed this because I really liked the Bound to the Cthulu book from this series so I wanted to give it a shot. It hasn't converted me to audio books by any means because of the audio-processing issues, but the books itself and the narrator were top notch. Very well written story, characters were well fleshed out and dynamic and had good chemistry and the narrator did voices with accents and didn't shift out of them accidentally at any point.

Would definitely recommend.

This is a fantastic audiobook! Aubrey is forced to pawn her grandmother's bracelet because she is running low on money. Her roommate refers her to a local pawn shop owned by Sundar, a naga. The magical encounter between Sundar and Aubrey is delightful. He can't get enough of her company, so he strikes a deal with Aubrey that benefits him and allows him to spend more time with her. I love this plot. There are some amazing twists and plenty of steam. It's an excellent paranormal romance with a perfect happy ending.

Gleeful Goblin Review: Having read a lot of this author's work before, including the book version of this story, I was pretty positive I'd love this audiobook. AND I WAS RIGHT. The narration is so well done and brought me so much joy. I'm thrilled to have been able to experience this story in two mediums.

The author has a gift for plucky, relatable FMC's. Or that could just be me as a broke millennial in late stage capitalism, who can say? In this case, our FMC is living that 'broke millennial who feels like she's faking being an adult' life and had to pawn a precious family heirloom in our MMC's pawnshop. Since our MMC is a naga his shop isn't your typical coins, jewelry, and electronics oh no. This shop is like a mini Warehouse 13!: “So…” she begins, seemingly gathering courage. “What’s the deal with nagas? Do you all tend to run shops, or is that just your thing?” I smile, despite myself. “No. Though we do tend toward… collecting.” I gesture at the items around us. “We’re naturally drawn to objects of value or power. Some nagas become museum curators, others antiquities dealers. I simply prefer a more direct approach.” “Dealing with desperate people pawning their precious family heirlooms?” The words are bitter, but Aubrey’s tone is light, almost teasing. “Among other things.” I count out her money, hyperaware of how her eyes follow the movement of my hands. The bills seem insufficient somehow, empty paper in exchange for something that clearly means so much to her. Regardless, I slide the stack of money across the counter, watching as she tucks it away. “There are the usual collectibles and similar fare, but I also handle a great deal of magical, cursed, and haunted objects as well.” “Yeah, I noticed.” She glances around the shop again, this time with more genuine curiosity. “So, your magical items are, like, really magical, not just stage-show stuff?” “Of course.” I find myself warming to her interest, my tail shifting to a more relaxed position. “That compass in the display case? It points to whatever it is you’ve lost, though it is known to interpret what is ‘lost’ in a rather ironic fashion. The cursed deck of cards beside it shuffles itself, but it’s notorious for cheating at solitaire. And that bookmark—” I nod toward a delicate silver piece on the counter, “—can summarize the boring parts of any book you’re reading.” She laughs, the sound bright and unexpected. “You’re joking about the deck of cards.” “I never take cursed objects lightly.” “Says the man with a Furby casually on display.”

I felt like this book was a really great blend of magical realism with monsters among us and fantastical pawnshops but also a sizzling romance that definitely had me wrapped up in it until the end. 5/5 Stars.

📖 Bookish Thoughts:
This was such a low angst cozy monster romance! I haven’t read many Naga romances, but Bound to the Naga is officially my favorite. Sundar was so smitten with Aubrey—even when he was deep in denial—and I loved how tender he was beneath all that possessiveness and grumpiness.

Aubrey totally broke my heart when she had to pawn her grandma’s bracelet 😭 and don’t even get me started on her trash ex! But what I adored most? No third act breakup. The spice? 🔥🔥🔥🔥

💚 Read if you love:
• Cozy Monster Romance
• FMC hot mess but sweetheart vibes
• Possessive MMC (with a powerful tail 🐍)
• Forced Proximity
• Boss/Employee tension

🎙️ Narration Style: Solo
🎧 Audio Score: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
