Publisher's summary

The Wulfriths. It all began with a woman.

A battle. A crown. The conqueror. The conquered. Medieval England - forever changed by the Battle of Hastings. And the rise of the formidable Wulfriths.

Deceit wrapped in something sweet.

After aiding the English resistance who once more fail to reclaim their country from the invaders, Lady Marguerite returns home to Scotland in the aftermath of William the Conqueror’s harrying of the North - and does not come alone. Accompanying the Sparrow of King Malcolm’s Court is a warrior mistakenly believed her enemy, the price for which may be his irreparable loss of sight. Burdened by having laid the trap for a man she regrets not recognizing sooner, and strangely drawn to him, she determines she will be the one to tend this Norman. But that is possible only if he does not learn she is responsible for what could strip the warrior from him. When her deception is unveiled, will he reject what he has come to feel for her? When he leaves, will he take her heart with him?

A warrior cast in shadows deep.

Gifted with a sense beyond the natural, which has made life seem more a sport than a battle, Sir Theriot D’Argent counts himself favored by God - until the night he aids villagers attacked by his fellow Normans and a good deed turns tragic. Stricken blind, his world reduced to shadows amid clouded light, he finds himself a prisoner of the King of Scotland and in the care of a lady whose voice and touch disturb as much as the belief her secrets are not hers alone. Will his sight be restored? Or is this divine punishment for aiding in England’s conquest? And what is he to do with feelings for the one whose trap ensnared him? Even were it possible to forgive her for a life cruelly altered, he would be a burden - and a danger for being unable to protect the lady from her murderous kin.

From Northern England to the Scotland of King Malcolm, the tale of Sir Theriot D’Argent and Lady Marguerite unfolds in the sixth book in the Age of Conquest series revealing the origins of the Wulfriths of the best-selling Age of Faith series. Watch for Lawless: Book Seven releasing Spring 2021.

great story. narrator has lost her mind

I've read and listened to everything Tamara Leigh writes. Her books are exciting, clean, great stories. Aside from the phrase that has become like nails on chalkboard because it's repeated over and over in every single book, "she moistened her lips," her stories are great. (Tamara, why is it so important to every story that the heroine run her tongue over her dry lips? If that's truly a sticking point, please come up with an alternate way to write that.) Some books are better than others, but all are worth a read and I wish we had more writers like Ms. Leigh.
Now the narrator... Mary Sarah started off waaay back many books ago as an EXCELLENT narrator but she's lost her mind. It's all gone to her head or something. Over the past so many books, her narration has gotten more and more bizarre, sing-songy, and overly dramatized. she's also developed a strange lisp, where words that end in a "t" or a "d" are pronounced with a "th" sound. How does someone develop a lap? I think it's supposed to be an exaggerated accent, but it's really irritating. Sometimes the meaning gets completely lost by the strange reading style and I have to listen to passages over and over ust to comprehend what's happening. Lately I've been giving up 1/2 or 2/3 of the way through on the audiobook because of annoyance with the narration, and I end up reading it.
The reason this is so sad is Mary Sarah is a wonderful voice actor. She's fabulous with accents, and is a flawless reader. Why has her delivery turned into this bizarre exaggeration? Mary Sarah - PLEASE go back and listen to the books you read 10 years ago and DO THAT.

Tamara Leigh Medieval Book Fan

Enjoyed Boundless along with the others in this series. I understood Theriot because when our faith is shaken we question God.

Boundless Dario's story

Tamara Leigh never disappoints with her written tales of trials, tribulations, strength and faith in this series. I read or listened to all of the other stories in this series earlier so was eagerly awaiting this one for closure. Mary Sarah Agliotta gives the most wonderful wispy narration with her beautiful, lyrical vocals. Excellent book & Excellent Series! 😍

Not one lemon

I’m actually going to read the last book in this series next. It’s been an amazing journey. The family Darjon (sorry about the spelling) is a great example of getting through hard times with your strength intact. I love how the characters are imperfect and show it. Yet they still fight for each other. Love is a sacred gift. The two main characters show how you can overcome the worst most impossible obstacles but still *Spoiler Alert* come together with God.
