Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

A Dark and Powerful Audiobook
Robb Pritchard’s Brethren audiobook is a strong and exciting story about Dark Ages Britain. The narrator brings the characters to life, making their struggles, dreams, and hard choices feel real. The battles sound intense and bloody, and the story shows how difficult life was in this time.
I liked how the audiobook feels true to history. The narrator’s voice and the sound effects make the world come alive. This is not a happy story, but it is very powerful and stays in your mind after you finish listening.
If you like historical fiction with strong emotions and real-life struggles, the Brethren audiobook is a great choice. A very good listen that deserves 5 stars!

I enjoyed it
I listened to audiobook version.
I expected fantasy book because dragon in name of series but it is purely realistic. Book focuses on describing what is happening from outer point of view and less on characters innerworld. It makes it feel very movie like. It makes it very easy to imagine/have pictures of what you are reading in your head. Something is always happening so it is hard to find good moment to stop reading.
Characters are nice. Not everyone is good guy obviously, but I found myself quickly rooting for some of them. Story makes them go through multiple difficult situation. I may have cry a little at one point :)
Narration elevates it to another level. Scott Brick is reading it in very lively, emotionally invested way. It really adds to that "movielikeness".
Looking forward to read next book in serie.
