Publisher's summary

The moment Syl sees Brielle, he realizes the sassy Earth woman is exactly what he needs in his life.

Brielle has waited faithfully for her fiancé to return from Terran Prime, only to discover she's been engaged to a lying, cheating bastard who tosses her out on her rear the moment he's back on Earth. Not one to go down without a fight, Brielle will do anything to ensure her survival - even sign up for a bride exchange on another world.

Syl has lived his life in his lab, always preoccupied with his experiments. But the moment he sees Brielle, he realizes that perhaps his life has been missing something after all. Wanting and having are two different things. What would an exotic-looking female like Brielle want with an alien geek like him?

It was a cute short story with HEA

This is a new series so there are no reviews when I am writing this. It is probably good to note that the H and h are not stupid or flighty. There is some conflict which gets resolved well.

There is some talk in the book about threesomes, and the h did not go in that direction but the author seems to leave that open for future books. I am super not into that so continuing with this series is a maybe not. Looks like book 2 is also a male/female pairing but I am also not into side characters in threesomes so best to quit before getting invested in future storylines.

This book was also prohibitively expensive for 3.5 hours. Less then my credits so had to pay in cash. For such a short book seems like it should be more in the $5 range.

Strong start

But began to fizzle out toward the end. It was a bit blah to the point of losing interest. The narrator did a good job with characters; but it wouldn’t hurt to add a male narrator for deeper more masculine voices. Also, the female character was a bit wishy washy; you will discover what I mean after listening to it. I hope the next book improves.

She needed emotional support and a purse

I usually don’t like using a credit for the shorter books but I was looking for something a little lighter in entertainment. However, this story was just a little over the top, a little too dramatic. It started out well but went downhill. She signed herself up for a bride program and then got angry at a couple of guys that asked her to be a bride without getting to know her. Her reaction was ridiculous. Even though there were a couple of times where she had to protect herself from guys, she pretty much came across as a damsel in distress; wanting a man to take care of her.
