About this listen

From USA Today best-selling author Aileen Erin

Claudia de Santos has always looked out for every witch but herself. She fought from the shadows as her coven turned dark, and with a little help from her half-witch/half-Alpha werewolf cousin, Teresa McCaide, Claudia is doing everything she can to keeper friends and family in the light.

Now the coven has splintered into two factions: Luciana's army of witches wielding dark magic, and Claudia's few stragglers who fight with the wolves. War is coming, and it won't be much of a battle if Claudia can't find the spells to counteract Luciana's demonic power. But Luciana strikes before they're prepared, and Claudia's twin brother pays the price. Suddenly, going to Peru in search of ancient Incan magic doesn't seem so crazy.

Fighting evil will require a pure spirit, but her quest is full of temptations, including a handsome Peruvian guide with secrets of his own. Finding love is the last thing on Claudia's ever-growing to-do list, but sometimes what you need has a way of seeking you out.

It's time to binge the complete Alpha Girls series!

Amazing!

It took me a minute to get used to the narrator bc I LOVED the previous narrator of the other books. However, after I got into the story she was excellent. Such a wonderful book. I finished it way faster than I should have bc now I’m at a loss as to what to listen to next.

Excellent series!!

Loved all the books, but “Bruja” needs a sequel as well!!! The series itself is intriguing and keeps your interest through out every book!

Needs a different narrator

I liked the narrators regular voice but when she tried to make the voices of the other characters it was laughable and almost mocking. The other books were narrated by a different girl.

Telling the truth

The narrator made this book difficult to get through,
Other than that the story was great. I liked the reader for the book after this one.

My favorite in this series

This is my favorite book in this series. The pacing was good, as well as the narration.

Narrator

Some of the voices are like nails on a Chalk board. Also, I understand that it is necessary to change the narrators. However, i found it inexcusable that the new narrator doesnt listen to the previous nooks leading to different pronunciations of different names. It just adds to the frustration!

Did she even listen to the other books.

I’m in chapter 3 and the narrator has mispronounced 2 of the major pieces in the series. The schools name and Dastien. I understand that since the book is from a different characters perspective there needs to be a new voice, but jeeze. Did no one proofread or proof-listen? Also she gave Dastien a heavy French accent. Again, I get he’s from France but he’s lived in Texas for quite awhile, why would his accent be so thick. Especially since it wasn’t so think in the last 3 books. Really takes me out of the story.

Did not like narration

My biggest gripe with this is the pronunciations and the accents. It’s like this narrator did not care about the previous books at all and it totally ruined the experience for me. This book was on my dnf for almost a year because of this narrator until I decided to bite the bullet and finish it. Zero stars for performance.

Bad narration of established characters, unrealistic details

At one point in the book they were driving from Texas to Peru In “a few days” this is not only 3,895 miles through jungle and 3rd world countries it would take far longer then that if it is even possible. Kind of unrealistic. Ugh this paired with the terrible narration from the previous books.
