I really enjoyed the voice of the narrator and the rare jewels of humor hidden in the text.

Pleasant introduction

Majority of the information in this book is valid, besides the fact that Sanskrit is the ancient language and that Pali is closely related to Sanskrit. Truth is Buddha preached in Pali language, later on Brahmins Hindufied some rituals of Mahayana buddhism like offering prayers to god, statue worship etc, that is when they slowly but streadily modfied Pali → Brahmi script → Dhamma script→ Sanskrit (with Devnagri script). Sanskrit and Hinduism are not as ancient as they claim.
The Jataka Sutras from Buddhism and Jainism were converted into Hindu Mythologies like Ramayana or Mahabharata.

Very insightful and informative for beginners.

did not appreciate the drawn out P's, S's, B's and T's and It's throughout the entire narration.

the drawn out P's, S's, and T's are too much

ny trying not to get too much into the details and trying to talk about the broad aspects of it, the author manages to do neither
