Publisher's summary

Remember Noodle, Indiana?

So does Caleb. It ain’t Noodle anymore.

And it’s all Caleb’s fault.

At least that’s how he sees it. And why not? Caleb brought hell to Noodle during his last visit. Specifically, multiple assassins looking to collect on a sizable contract on his head, caring less than nothing about how they’d turn the town into a post-apocalyptic mess.

Only the very nastiest of characters now call Noodle home. Not just for the lawlessness the town is victim to, but for the insanity that takes place within the deeper confines of the town. A town now run by an insidious group of people who look to exploit the very essence of evil in mankind. Exploit it by hosting games of skill, chance, and, of course, exceptional violence.

And so Caleb has now returned to Noodle to try to make things right. But this challenge is like nothing Caleb has ever tackled before. It will dig deep, very deep, into his traumatic past, and it just might turn that past into a lethal weapon that even a deadly force like Caleb has little defense against.

Jeff Menapace never disappoints!

Yet again brilliant story and perfect narration come together in this next installment of the Caleb spin off of Bad Games. You can always count on Jeff to tell a great tale and never ever poison his work with unnecessary political garbage that has nothing to do with the story lines like sadly so many used to be great ones are doing now days. That’s one of the reasons he’s my absolute favorite writer. He sticks to the story and he keeps you wanting more. He’s so good to his fans and takes time to actually talk to us through his social medias. Another reason that I love the bad games and Caleb books are so many parts of them take place in places I’ve been since I also live in Pa. My son Nino is on his way to becoming a state trooper in real life and said mom you have to beg Jeff to name a police officer after me in one of his books lol. I always look forward to his latest works and purchase everything he puts out. And the narrators he chooses to work with are also brilliant. Gary tells this story in such a way that it’s like watching a movie in your mind. The only thing that I don’t like is that no one has given Jeff Menapace the movies and tv shows his books deserve far more than others! I hope someone realizes how much they’re missing really soon and that he gets the real recognition that he deserves. This book 100/10 on the story 100/10 on narration. And I knew it would be. I could have written this review before I read it and be sure every word was true. (I did read it first though) but I’m never ever surprised that his books are great. They Always are! Great job my friend keep ‘em coming because we can’t get enough!

This series always keeps me on the edge

I originally picked the first book in a whim. Just an audible roulette selection. I'm now 3 books in and I'm dying for the next. Follow Caleb has been fun. This is a fast-paced, action filled "joy-joy cannonball run" of a story. I never get bored or lost and I never get tired of Caleb and company.

Each book we get a little more of what has spawned our star killer. Deeper down the rabbit hole and trust me it gets muddy. There's also lots of trash talking and murder. I can't say enough about this book. Back to Noodle where it has gotten wild and Caleb is the good guy (yes relatively). This book ends on a cliffhanger so be warned and be impatiently waiting.

wtf?

there was no story here......the information convade could have taken 2 minutes. and it ended "on a cliff hanger" =/ this was an insult to this author's readers......nothing happens, they may as well cutt it off when caleb found out wendy's was out of bacon.

Terrible writing

The story is so bad…stereotype, cringe lines. Should have used AI to write it - really bad.
