About this listen

Valor: great courage in the face of danger

When Wyatt gets framed for a friend's crime, he thinks his life is over. But then a mysterious stranger visits him in jail with an unusual proposal: Spend three months in a secret government camp and have a 10-year prison sentence wiped clean.

Wyatt agrees, and finds himself in a world beyond his wildest dreams, with teenagers like him flying drones, defusing bombs, and jumping out of helicopters. This is no ordinary camp. Camp Valor is a secret training ground for teenage government agents, filled with juvenile offenders-badasses who don't play by the rules - who desperately need a second chance. If they can prove themselves over their three month stay and survive Hell Week, they will enter the ranks of the most esteemed soldiers in the United States military.

But some enemies of the United States have gotten wind of Camp Valor, and they will do everything in their power to find out its secrets. Suddenly, Wyatt and his friends have to put their training into practice, and find the bravery to protect their country.

Great book wish the second was available

Great great book, great story, great performance, great story teller! The let down is the second is not available on audible! Definitely leaves you wanting more! Good characters, very easy to get into hard to stop listening! Again very disappointed that the second is not available!

The antagonist was pretty dark and psycho

Love how they bring young boys dreams to life. Being the hero and taking out the bad guy, but they do it in a way that makes you feel like it was writen for adults not teens.

Good Premise but

I think it could have been way better. I know this was a book about kids - But it felt like a book for kids. Maybe it was? I just think that if I am getting a book that includes the author from Target America - I would like to see a little more realism? I hate Hokey bad guys and unfortunately this is pretty Hokey.

Awful

This is just terrible. Unbelievable in the most annoying ways. Terrible characters. Author know just enough about military, tactics, etc to be annoying. I … I just can’t …. Just don’t

Ugh!

This is one stupid book. The basic premise is a group of teen (and maybe 20 something) male and female delinquents who are recruited into a top secret special operations (CIA?) training program. One is to believe they obtained the skills of super Navy Seals (and more) after 6 weeks at Camp Valor. The story jumps between two parallel stories setabout a decade apart. No matter how many times I re-wound, I found it impossible to follow the story - constantly lost and searching for the link between the two. The story unwinds very slowly and the. pace/rhythm of the narration is inconsistent. I gave up at chapter 32. It wasn't worth the frustration to go to the end to learn what happened.

Story line is unrealistic in America.

The story line was not realistic, it was not what I expected it to be. The writing quality was mediocre, just could not hold or really get my attention. I listen to books approximately 2hours a day as I travel to and from work and it is usually the part of my process to unwind before I get home, I look forward to listening to the books, I simply was disinterested in the story line.
