About this listen

Say cheese! Samantha Byrd absolutely loves photography. She carries her camera around with her everywhere she goes. She even sleeps with it at night. You know, just to be sure a good photo opportunity doesn’t pass her by. She has thousands of pictures saved on her computer, and will spend hours at a time editing them. You know, so she can get them just right.

A new antique store has just opened up in town. Naturally, Sam just has to see if they have any good cameras for sale. She manages to find an old Polaroid just like the one her parents used to have, and uses up all her savings to buy it. She quickly finds that something is off with this one. Perhaps the settings aren’t quite right, or maybe it’s just broken. Cause every time Sam takes a picture it shows somebody getting hurt, or something bad happening to them.

Sam is starting to notice that the pictures are coming true. It makes her wonder. Is the camera somehow predicting the future? Or is the camera itself creating the future? And most importantly, will anyone she talks to about it actually believe her? Find out, in The Antique Camera.
