Can I Get a Witness?

By Arlena (Broken Arrow, OK, United States)
I found Can I Get a Witness? a very interesting audible to listen too. I believe Ms. Billingsley did a wonderful job in bringing out how many of us need a higher power in our daily life. For sure this was
true for Vanessa and Thomsas. The sisters and aunt were interesting people in this story too. This audible was a bit long but good and it kept me interested until the end. I was glad the way the story ended. Truly forgiveness was very important.

A true Blessing!!!

I absolutely loved this book, the older generation being able to help the young people. The aunt played an role that's truly appreciated.

Excellent Read

I really love this author. She allows you to “relate” to the characters. Seeing life through the eyes of the three sisters really is enjoyable. So enjoyed their stories. And just when you think you know what happens, she surprises you. I love this author

Great narration.

Again this novel kept me spellbound and storyline I didn't see coming and characters "act a fool"!

Great story - NOT SO GREAT narrator

First time I've felt compelled to write a review. This was a really good, well written storyline, but the narrator was EXTREMELY distracting. She placed pauses, comma's and periods where they didn't belong and DIDN'T use them when she should have! Every other sentence I had to replay in my head the way the characters SHOULD have said it, so that I could understand properly follow along. It reminded me if being in elementary school and having to sit through the awkward moments when a kid who couldn't read well, had to read a paragraph out loud. I can't believe her performance was approved for release. Ms. Billingsley produces fabulous work and doesn't deserve to have it performed so poorly.

Beautiful and inspiring

I love how the story references God. I also love how it looks encourages marriages to attempt to work out any differences that may be causing problems

A refreshing read

This was my kinda book. Not too churchy (if you know what I mean) with a hint of humor, interesting characters and plot twists. Plus it didn't have all the vulgar language that seems to ruin good books. I live in Houston so it was nice hearing familiar street names and landmarks. I felt right at home -- almost as if I could run into any one of the sisters around town. As a fellow Univ. of Texas alumnae, ReShonda makes us proud!
