About this listen

Number-one nationally best-selling and award-winning author ReShonda Tate Billingsley delivers another moving, evocative, and timely novel about how a small seed of hope can change the course of one’s life.

Savannah Graham thought she had the perfect marriage...until grief drove her husband into the arms of his best friend’s wife. Now, she believes revenge is the only way her heart can heal from the betrayal.

For 52 years, Ollie Moss lived side by side with the love of his life, his wife Elizabeth. But now that she’s gone, so is his desire to live, despite the love from his children, and his beloved grandson Samuel. Can anything save Ollie’s life?

Anna Rodriguez just wants to work and provide for her three children by any means necessary. But her decision to break the law in order to get a job is threatening life as she knows it.

Trey Brown is known in his neighborhood as a hustler, so much so that the gangs want him to join their ranks...but there’s a reason the 19-year-old does what he does - he’s the only one left who can save his little brother.

Different circumstances lead each of them to The Markham Hotel, where they hope to find solace, comfort, and answers. Told from multiple perspectives, The Book in Room 316 will renew your strength and faith that there is always a way forward.

Robin Eller didn't fit the character

I couldn't into Robin Eller reading Savannah's story. It didn't feel real. She didn't bring the character to life like the other characters were brought to life by their readers for me. Other and that this story was well written and felt like something that you will experience in your life or happen to someone you know.

It’s a Worthy Listen

This book was just okay. I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if the narrators were better. For some reason I couldn’t get into the story because the voices didn’t seem to correlate with the characters. This is one of my favorite authors and I would definitely recommend this novel to other listeners. The stories are definitely captivating.

may be good but.....

The book may be a good read but I couldn't get passed Chapter 2 because of the narrator.

EXTRAORDINARY!! I wasn’t expecting this!!

One of the best books I’ve listened to this year!! The first story starts off confusing & I started to skip it but I’m glad I didn’t because they are all connected. You did a great thing ReShonda. I just wish you would’ve given Anna a little more but still 4 great stories that hinge on LOVE!!

Good People in the World

I really liked the characters and how their lives were woven together via Room 316.
I just really wanted Elizabeth’s bible to get into her husbands hands but I imagine that is served as a portal to salvation for all that passed through.
