the narrative did great. the female character was a bit too immature and whiny. it reminds me of someone who should still be in highschool. not sure if I can continue reading the series

Wonderful story!

This is such a great story that starts with a slow build up as Adam and Ella share the beach and slowly get to know each other. The connection is so strong from the start but I love that slow burn. She has been hurt in the past and her self esteem is mostly non existent. Adam has his own demons lurking and I am excited to listen to the next part of their story!

Don't waste your time.

I go through a lot of book in a month, some better than others. The narration was horrible from the beginning. I tried speeding it up and even that didn't help. I kept listening, waiting for the story line to grab me but all I got from this one was whining from both of the main characters. More than half way through I just couldn't force myself to listen anymore.

Too slow and cliche

I won the 4 audio books in this series, and was so excited for my chance to review them. Not so much now.

I mostly read by audio book, and I can listen to almost any narrator and find a way to like them. This narrator had a nice enough voice, but I had to listen at 1.5 speed just to make her sound normal. She spoke so slow I was laughing. I actually made my husband listen so we could laugh together.

Then there is the story. It's just boring. Boring and cliche. I feel terrible that I won this series, and have no desire at all to listen to another word. I may try the next book at a later date, but for now I am moving on to something else.
