About this listen

Diligence. Focus. Agility.

For Naomi Prescott, it's not just a cute little saying. It's a critical mantra, words to live by if she wants to retain her freedom, and, more importantly, her life. Impeccable planning is the only way to ensure she sets off the small flutters that will trigger the big ripple she needs to pull off the score of a lifetime - no matter the stakes.

FBI Agent Marcus Calloway is a straight-shooter...if you overlook his sometimes unconventional, law-skirting, expensive ways of solving a case. A big arrest would do wonders to restore his reputation, and he has one woman in mind: Jolie Voleuse.

Unforeseen circumstances force them into a closer proximity than either - especially Naomi - would like to be. Sparks fly, and as surely as fire ignites, eventually their undeniable chemistry combusts into a passion that neither expected as they join forces in the dangerous pursuit of a common bounty.

Contains mature themes.

On the edge of my seat like…

My, my, my is Ms. CCJ just tremendously talented with that damn pen. Her writing is so versatile and never disappoints I believe this series has been out for a while on paper, but honey this audio version is on another level. I can’t wait to dig in to Book 2. The book was suspenseful, witty, steamy, and of course involves a budding love story. Well done! Narrators were awesome as usual!

Romantic Suspense At It's Finest!!!

I wasn’t going to leave a review but, this book was so good, I had to do it. Catch Me If You Can is the second romantic suspense novel I’ve read by CCJ and it did not disappoint. I love the combination of mystery and romance. The storyline is filled with jewelry thieves with bad attitudes, sexy alpha male FBI agents, and quirky hackers. Naomi is jewelry thief who’s on a mission to avenge the death of her mama. Marcus is trying to restore his with reputation with his bosses by catching the infamous Black Swan (Naomi’s alias). Purely by happenstance, Marcus finds out Naomi’s real identity and he arrests her. But, she has friends at the FBI of all places and Marcus has to bury the case. When she’s let go, Naomi and Marcus are forced to work together to take down a common enemy. Then we have the villain Damien Wolfe. Everyone hates Damien (with good reason) and wants a piece of him real bad. Each character has their own personal reason for wanting to unalive him and, as the story unfolds, there’s a connection between Marcus and Damien that’s revealed. I love how much Damien is talked about but, other than a flashback, he doesn’t even make an appearance in the book. Considering how the book ended, I’m sure he’ll pop up in books two and three. Catch Me If You Can was a really good book. It had a great plot, suspenseful enough to keep you guessing, romance, and steamy sex. I'm so glad I waited for the entire series to be released on Audible before I started listening to it because, that cliffhanger would’ve been the death of me!

Sexy twister!

Suspension, drama, heartbreaking, enticing cat mouse story. I rated the performance a 4 simply because the male voice just doesnt do well with portraying the point of view of female characters. I wish is tone and elevation were better at times.

I loved it!

Awesome series that will keep you on your toes. Christina C. Jones is the best. Good narration too. Wesleigh Siobhan is among my top three narrator choices. She's always superb.

Kept my attention

This book was a good listen however the story jumped around a bit. The characters were interesting enough to keep me listening but lacked excitement.

Didn't Think I Was Going To Like It

I was a little underwhelmed at first, but kept listening and the more I listened the more intrigued I was by the story. The ending left me gasping for air although I kind of knew it just to hear it took my breath away.

The story line

The story line is good. It kept me interested all the way through. But at some point one of the narrator’s had very country accent and it threw me off a bit. I’m not sure who it is. But good book. I can’t wait to listen to the next story.
