Publisher's summary

Desperation.

Not a phenomenon Tempest could typically claim, but certainly the catalyst for where she’s landed. Not in peril, or pain, but in dire need of the very normalcy she’s often emulated, but never been able to obtain.

Now...there’s nothing in her way, except all those years of being everything except what she now has to become.

Herself.

As soon as she figures out who that is.

Great Story

I loved the narrator (Eboni Flowers). Christina C. Jones's stories are always engaging and flawless. Read the entire series if possible.

This Rose Though

An overall heart-warming story of a woman letting go of her past and finding her true self. An amazing read.

Great story

Didn’t know how I would like this story; wasn’t familiar with the narrator, turns out to be good. The storyline was good, but wish it would have gotten a little more into the why from her past. Narrator did a good job with the characters. Some of the issues were real life.

Love This Story

I loved Tempest and her reinvention in ebook/paperback, and finally decided to try the studio version! I really enjoyed that this was completely from her point of view as well. It helped to get a clear understanding of this journey into normalcy for her. My only qualm was the weird southern accents for nearly all of the women. Afaik, The Heights isn’t in the south? I’ve read every single book that takes place there and it give me Midwestern vibes over anything else? But anyways, other than that, this was perfect. I can definitely see myself listening to it again soon.

Enjoyable— another connection to the Heights

I didn’t know if I would like this, but I loved it!!! CCJ knows how to build relationships in a natural and exciting way. Ready to read the next in the series.

Beautiful story

Tempest’s story was heartwarming, raw, sweet and steamy…in the best way. I’m so glad the the brilliant pen of CCJ blessed us with a furtherance of the Rose and Thorn saga. Great story. And the single POV was wonderful with amazing narration by Eboni Flowers. Bravo all around👏🏽👏🏽

Not what I expected but I loved it!

I've held onto this for a while because I wasn't sure if my heart could take the extra palpitations after previously reading Ante Up, King of Hearts, and Deuces Wild 😂 however I'm so glad I started this one and I'm diving tight I to the next one. Great job as ALWAYS CCJ and great job on the narrating Eboni!

I feel like the story just ended. Not finality. CC Jones is certainly one of my favorite authors. This one was just ok. Great narrator!
