Publisher's summary

A sexy travel blogger and a single mom can't evade love in this small-town romance.

Cooper Hayes, a travel blogger, is always in search of his next adventure. He loves his big family and the small town he grew up in, but after a prolonged visit home, the itch to take off grows, until he meets an uptight woman with gorgeous eyes and a sharp tongue. Something about her, and her immunity to his charm, makes him question everything.

Sarah Kramer, a single mother who puts her son above everything else, refuses to even glance in a man's direction. Then she comes face to face with the elusive Cooper Hayes, a man not only of mystery and intrigue but someone who pushes her buttons and gets her hot in a way no man ever has, and she can't deny the instant attraction, even if he is an over-confident jerk.

Sarah agrees to go on a date with Cooper, to give herself one night of fun. But their night takes a turn, reminding her she's a mom above everything else, and giving her no choice but to put an end to the growing desires. Unfortunately, living in a small town makes it impossible to avoid each other, and it's only a matter of time before their undeniable chemistry explodes.

Will Sarah finally be able to open her heart to a man? And if she does, will it be reason enough for Cooper to stay?

Best in series so far!

This book is my favorite in the series so far! I really loved getting to know Cooper more and seeing him find something worth staying for. I loved that he found his anchor and his new adventure both at the same time!

The narration was well done! As with the rest of the series, it is more like being read to as opposed to the characters coming to life, but I've enjoyed listening!

Cooper and Sarah

How do you satisfy wanderlust? Cooper is the one member of the Hayes family that lives to travel. His Instagram account had thousands of followers who love his adventures. But he is home for his brother’s wedding and is staying til the birth of his child. But will there be something to prevent him from leaving again? He first sees Sarah in the bakery and even she warns him off. But will he give up? And will Sarah be able to resist him? This one is my favorite of the series. There is something about Cooper that intrigues me. I think it’s his spirit. Very self confident, he us easy to like. Sarah is sweet and real which makes her irresistible. I love this family, especially the grandmother who always has a wise comment. The feel is small town warmth and it makes it a feel good listen.

Krists Nicely keeps bringing this series to life. I am enjoying her voices and consistency. She makes the listen very enjoyable.

What a wonderful narration for a fabulous book!

Catching Cooper, a Red Maple Falls Novel by Theresa Paola and read by Krista Nicely is the fourth in this series and is as pleasant and lovely as the rest of the series. Cooper Hayes is the brother who had left home to find his fortune and had found success with his travel blog and Instagram account. He had managed to travel to 74 countries before he had returned home for his brother's wedding and decided to stay for a while. He was substituting for his very pregnant sister-in-law at her Sweet Dreams Bakery when her first saw Sarah on her weekly visit for a blueberry muffin. Even as he had been warned away by Sarah, herself, and later his sister-in-law, he could not deny his attraction.

This is the second of this series I have listened to and I have to say that this is the perfect book to have read aloud. Nicely is a good narrator and the only minor complaint I have is that she tends to phrase male comments in a female way. I adjusted to that quickly. It was a good listen and I found myself extending the time I had allotted for it just for the pleasure. Listening was a good time. I highly recommend it. It is a wonderful novel enthusiastically read and listened to.

Good next book in the series

Sarah is a single mother who meets Cooper. She prioritizes her son (which is good) but boy, I thought she was a little too mean in multiple areas of the book. Cooper is a free spirit who travels for his blog and therefore, he wasn't looking for someone serious, especially a single mother. However, once he met Sarah, he basically had little to no reservations about being with a single mother. But for me, the relationship wasn't as realistic because I felt like Sarah was being very sharp and antagonistic toward Cooper without a good reason.

Regardless, towards the end, I started to like the characters more and since they are seen in other books of this series, it was good to get their backstory too.

Krista Nicely was good, as she's been for this series. As this is told with a dual POV though, I do think it would have benefitted from a male narrator as well. But she did a good job narrating the story.

Fourth Book

This has been my favorite of Theresa Paolo's books so far. My heart truly went out to Sarah and Cooper. Tommy, Sarah's son, was adorable! Once again I loved seeing all the characters. I'm so looking forward to the next books!

Krista Nicely is a great narrator. She does a wonderful job keeping the story moving. Love her voice.

Book 4!

Cooper might just be my favorite Hayes sibling so far. I absolutely adored him.

Cooper has never been in one place for too long. He makes his money as a travel blogger. But he’s been home with his family for a good amount of time now and he’s starting to get the itch to travel again. Then he meets Sarah. Sarah is a single mom who takes his breath away. Is she enough to keep him in one place?

I absolutely loved Cooper. His spirit was just so much fun. He loves life and loves to live it to its fullest. I absolutely loved learning more about him and getting to see more of his life. I loved his relationship with his family and getting to see him interact with all the previous couples from this series. Most of all I loved his relationship with Sarah’s son. I could really tell how much Cooper cared about him. Sarah, however, really got on my nerves. She really kept thinking the worst of Cooper no matter what. Even if he had proved himself to her before, she still thought the worst of him. That just really got old really fast. To be honest, I loved pretty much everything about this book except for Sarah.

Krista Nicely did a good job with the audio. I still wish there was a bit more of a difference between the different speaking voices. And I felt like there were some awkward pauses. But overall, I enjoyed her performance!
