About this listen
Tuck and Ginger are two cats who get on each other's nerves. But they need to pause the claws if they’re to escape from the high-rise apartment where they are trapped. And escape they must, for their kidnappers – Rodney and Janice Burringo – are warty wicked witches who want to use Tuck and Ginger’s body parts to build the best witches’ cat in the world: a black Purrari.
Tuck, who’s a few granules short of a litter-tray, and Ginger, a cynical street fighter gone to seed, must overcome their differences and survive a list of unlikely adventures if they’re to escape alive from the beastly Burringos and their toxic gases before it’s too late.

Story
The cat that Olive rescues from a flood has a secret: He's not really a cat at all, but an alien who crashed to Earth on a beam of light. The cat, whom Olive names Leonard, was prepared to visit the planet as a human - but something went wrong. Now Leonard may never know what it's like to hold an umbrella, go bowling, or host a dinner party. (And his human jokes still need some work: Knock, knock. Who's there? Just Leonard. It is me.)

His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. A middle-aged man returns to his childhood home to attend a funeral. He is drawn to the farm at the end of the road, where, when he was seven, he encountered a most remarkable girl, Lettie Hempstock. Forty years earlier, a man committed suicide in a stolen car at this farm at the end of the road. Like a fuse on a firework, his death lit a touchpaper and resonated in unimaginable ways. The darkness was unleashed, something scary and thoroughly incomprehensible to a little boy. And Lettie - magical, comforting, wise beyond her years - promised to protect him, no matter what.

The Disc’s very existence is about to be threatened by a strange new blight: the world’s first tourist, upon whose survival rests the peace and prosperity of the land.

Welcome to the Home for Wayward and Misbegotten Creatures, an institution run by evil Miss Carbunkle, a cunning villainess who believes her terrified young charges exist only to serve and suffer. Part animal and part human, the groundlings toil in classroom and factory, forbidden to enjoy anything regular children have, most particularly singing and music. For the Wonderling, an innocent-hearted, one-eared, fox-like eleven-year-old with only a number rather than a proper name - a 13 etched on a medallion around his neck - it is the only home he has ever known.

A Fantastically Funny Fable
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. If there was a 6 star rating available for this narrator, I would give it. She brings the amusing characters in this delightful story to life. The author's use of rhyme and alliteration along with an enchanting story result in a witty, humorous and captivating tale. This book will make you smile and giggle along with the kids in your life.

Clever, witty, fun kids story!
If you could sum up Cats on the Run in three words, what would they be?
Hilarious, clever, witty
Which character – as performed by Deborah Wiseman – was your favorite?
All of them, she is so talented. I giggled at each new voice! She must have done over a dozen voices and they were hysterically funny!
Any additional comments?
Cats On The Run (Tuck & Ginger, #1) by Ged Gillmore, narrated by Deborah Wiseman, is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. I can't say I peed myself laughing but it is a funny book. It starts out with a slow intro but don't go away. Then it gets better and better and better. The longer the book, the funnier it is! Although this is a kids book, I must say I did giggle, smirk, smile a lot, and I did laugh out loud at the narrator's crazy talented voices!
Let me start at the beginning...the narrator not only tells the story but speaks to the reader, and in a very hilarious way at time, quizing and gibbing them. The narrator is a hoot! She has so many voices and they are totally awesome! She must do a dozen and they are histerically funny. Anyway, two cats are held by witches for a spell. A smart cat and a dumb but athletic cat. Now this smart cat had previously been driving a cab when she was catnapped. Yep, it is that kind of story! They escape...and off goes the story! The man and woman witches are after them. The have stinky farts when they get excited too. That happens often and of course the cats don't like it but the witches do. There is so many crazy tidbits of silliness in here kids will giggle about. It does have a good plot, great characters, even the minor ones are very played up, and the story is quite fun. I really didn't think I was going to like the book as much as I did when it first started playing but the longer it played, the more I liked it. Like I said, the further in the book it got, the funnier it became. If I found it fun, kids are going to love it!
The narrator needs her own review! I giggled many a times when she started a new voice, what talent! It was worth it just to hear her do the voices! I don't think I would want to read the book now that I know how well she does the book. I would suggest the audible to anyone that wants to read this book!
This is a clever, witty, and very talented book and I enjoyed it as I am sure many kids will too!

Fun for all ages
A wonderfully written story told by a narrator with some serious skills. My son and I listened while driving and fishing and driving home again. We laughed the whole time. The author delivers a great story via a narrator that takes you deep into the story right from the start and sends you careening along crazily behind two cats pursued by a couple of nasty witches. Get ready for a wonderful hilarious romp. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Oh Moon, Oh Moon! A comedic ROFLMAO cat tail Tale
Any additional comments?
Ged Gillmore's Cats on the Run teamed up with nouveau narrator Deborah Wiseman (no other books are listed under her name during a search) for the funniest story, with its "in your face" ... erm "in your ear" interactive dialogues.
I usually don't care for authors talking to the readers. Had I picked up the ebook, I may have shelved it into my TBR. But Ms Wiseman talked me into curling up with my kitten and giggle.
Tuck and Ginger have an adventure of a lifetime and I certainly wouldn't want them to persuade my kitten to go out into the world! (But if he does, can I hire those two to chaperone?)
An entertaining book, with a narrator who is equally lively. The combination invites the reader to leave the world behind, laugh out loud, and talk back to answer questions (audience participation is encouraged!!).
Listen to the book.
I callenge you to not break a smile, bust a gut... or not repeat (*insert text here*) or crow Oh Moon! Oh Moon in the exact off key chords ... I bet you rewind just to hear it again!
I Love LOve LOVe LOVE LOVE this audio.
Would you listen to Cats on the Run again? Why?
It's completely on my very short list (I could count this list on one hand) I would listen to sporadically throughout the year.
Oh, yeah. To make sure no one tries to TDO you for a psychological evaluation, listen to this discreetly and while alone ... Voice inflections of the crones and your reactions throughout the book might save your sanity, but others may question it an impromptu interruption occurs.
If you can't tell; highly recommending this exaggerated performance (imagine how the Seinfeld cast or Jim Carrey 'body performs' their roles). If I could, I'd gift everyone this book!!
On the downside, I'm not sure if another book will receive all 5 stars after this ...
I review all books I listen to or read, but am required to add this:

Clever, funny story for the whole family
Looking for the perfect road trip audiobook for the family? Cats on the Run might be just the thing! This is a hilarious, clever story full of tongue twisters, rhymes, witches, and cats that is fun for adults and kids, as long as no one is too bothered by potty humor, fart jokes, and cannibalistic witches. The narrator does a terrific job presenting an entertaining performance of the book.

Absolutely Hilarious and Entertaining!!
What made the experience of listening to Cats on the Run the most enjoyable?
Oh, man...so many things did but I would have to say that the narrator was absolutely brilliant and the characters, story line as a whole, and most especially the spot-on humor! I look forward to the many times my grandchildren and I will re-listen to this amazing book that I consider this one of my top 5 on my list, and as an AVID listener I have literally thousands of audio books. This one is a WINNER!!
What did you like best about this story?
Every single thing--cover to cover--this book is 100% fun, entertaining, and just a HUGE slice of AWESOME!! If I had to spend 5 credits to purchase this audio book, I would do it in a heartbeat because it is just THAT good!
What about Deborah Wiseman’s performance did you like?
Deborah Wiseman did an amazing job in her portrayal of the characters. I mean, not too many people can pull off that high-pitched, screeching "Rooodneeeeyyyy!!"
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed and laughed along with my two grandchildren (ages 2 and 4) and have re-listened to it several times and have formed our own "inside jokes" together that relate directly to the book. All three of us just love to call each other from the other side of the house going Rooodneeeeyyyy!! all the time and it gets us to laughing together and has been a GREAT bonding experience for us! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend you spend the credit to purchase this amazing audiobook that is entertaining for readers of all ages. If you are having a bad day, listen to this and it can easily put a smile on your face and laughter in your heart.

It strikes me that there doesn't seem to be a explanation for the stars that are given. So I thought I'd start giving my take on it.
1 horrible no redeeming qualities. So far I've never given a 1.
2 blah but there are redeeming qualities.
3 ok worth reading.
4 great but there's something off.
