About this listen
Christie Rinkley flies out of rainy Seattle headed for Loreto, Mexico on her honeymoon. The only drawback: she is on a honeymoon for one. When the local adventure hiking guide tries to warn the blonde lady that a monsoon is expected, it is lost in translation. Why worry about a chance of rain when the sky is blue and the sun is shining? Unless that hike is in Mesquite Canyon with two rock walls and a rising creek in the middle. When the winds begin to howl and skies burst, Christie knows she is sunk. Thank goodness burly, good-looking, "Alabama Joe" discovers that the "Americana loco" is hiking the canyon alone. This romantic comedy takes a fun twist when it becomes obvious to Joe that Christie needs rescuing in more ways than one. Fairhope, Alabama may just hold the key to Christie's dreams, and Joe's comical aunts; Hattie and Bessie, are determined to help make those dreams come true.

Short Sweet Rom-Com
Chance of Rain: A Romantic Comedy. The story is written by Renee Riva. The main character is Christie Rinkley, a woman who was left at the altar on her wedding day. To escape from friends and family she took a red-eye flight and flew from Seattle to Loreto, Mexico on her honeymoon alone. While there Christy wants to forget the events that got here there and relax. Deciding an adventure excursion was what she needs she decides on a hike. She goes against the local adventure guides advice and hikes a canyon alone as the words monsoon get lost in translation.
The story really holds the listener’s attention when the only other guest at the hotel an American Adventure Photographer named Joe from Alabama comes to her rescue. The story is really sweet with the normal twists and turns found in most romantic comedies. The characters are enjoyable and hold the listener’s attention through the entire production.
The narration is provided by Gabrielle Puyat. Ms. Puyat brought a strong skilled vocal quality to this audio production. The production quality of this audiobook is also the highest quality. I heard no problems during the entire performance. There were not any detectable flaws that I was able to hear during the entire performance such as loops, breaks, or buzzing. The production was crisp and clear. Renee Riva delivered an excellent audiobook production. I highly recommend this audiobook. Such A Cute Adventure and Story
This has been my fourth and favourite book by Renee Riva to date. I really enjoyed the premise of Christie on her honeymoon alone. I loved how Christie and Joe meet. I love hiking so having that in the story was great. The ending was absolute perfection. It flew by and I listened to it in one sitting. I will relisten to this story in the future. It is such a sweet gem.
Gabrielle Puyat does a great job with the narration and has an easy voice to listen too.

Really Good
A very enjoyable short story that I thoroughly recommend. The story is clean with no swearing, sex or violence. Instead it was wonderful to have humor, true emotion, inspiration, hope and of course a happy ending. The story has a slightly religious overtone but is definitely not overbearing or preachy. The characters were well developed and easy to identify with. If I was to criticize anything it would be the narration. Gabrielle Puyat has a pleasant voice but there was a sameness to her narrative. There didn’t seem to be much difference in tone between characters and where there should have been a Southern or Mexican accent it fell a little short. It was more a feeling of someone reading rather than acting. However that said I still enjoyed “Chance of Rain” and wholly recommend the story

Awesome awesome, I loved it it was awesome!
And all those the ones I found are not necessarily romance I think I’m still going to read them. This book was funny, witty, intelligently done and also so fun to be a part of. I love this author and will read more books by her the narrator was off the charts good she did the male voices in the same voice that she did the women’s just her inflection was different and that alone made it perfect I thought that was a great move good on you girl. I always say a narrator can make a break a book she made an awesomely great book even better. And if you like Romance with a bunch of lamps get this book. When her fiancég

Chance of Rain
Chance of Rain is such a sweet story. When Christie is left at the alter, she decides to go on her honeymoon alone to recover. Well, maybe things happen for a reason... When she’s rescued while on a hike she reevaluates her life, and reconsiders what she really wants to do.
I have always enjoyed Renee Riva’s stories and this one is no exception.

A light, quick read!
I listened to the audio version of this book.
This was a short, clean romance. The story was about a woman who ends up in Mexico on her honeymoon by herself and has several adventures ranging from trying to order for herself in Spanish, to a hiking trip gone terribly wrong. The hero steps in to help her in more ways than one, but then they must go their separate ways. Should Christie give her ex another chance or should she go hunt down Joe?
The narrator of this book did a good job with the voices, but for the general narration her voice came over as kind of flat. A little more inflection would have made it more pleasant to listen to.
If you just need a light read, this might be right for you.
