Publisher's summary

In this ultimately deadly chess game stands Fiona, a striking redhead poised to kill Cleopatra Gallier. Cleo, the impossibly beautiful, clever, and wealthy former talk show host is as completely unaware of Fiona's existence as she is of Fiona's vengeful plan to kill her for taking out Fiona's love. The story unfolds in the deserts of Dubai and the beaches and gardens of Honolulu's paradise. Amidst CIA agents and a family that could explode if Cleopatra's deepest secret comes out, Cleo and Fiona finally face each other. But who is Fiona?

Hidden under layers of secrets, this novel twists and turns as the handsome rogue, Jake, and his CIA undercover father, Tripp, fight battles of their own. A perfect cocktail of a spy thriller, romance, sex, revenge, and betrayal with a dash of hot fudge from American actress, playwright, and author Tina Sloan.

Chasing Othello, a perfect balance

Love how Ms. Sloane entwined the characters' back stories with the Othello mystery. Trip's realization that with age comes changing abilities; passing the torch, which loves are forever and which are for the moment. The ending is a classic Friday soap episode; tying up loose ends with a sprinkle of what's to come. I'm looking forward to this summer and book three.

A Thrill a Minute

Tripp and his family find themselves once again in Honolulu under the worst of circumstances! Also joining the Tripp family, Cleopatra Gallier arrives back on the island just in time to become embroiled in the murderous schemes of Fiona and the brother of the man Cleopatra single-handedly killed. Tripp and his son Jack, both CIA, discover the result of their individual encounters with Cleopatra a few years back. The fun is just starting!

The author, Tina Sloan continues to captivate her listeners with tales about Tripp, Jake, and Cleopatra. Plenty of twists this time around and unique characters! With the addition of the mysterious redhead, Fiona, the listeners will be thrown for a loop! Her main characters are struggling with one issue that is very detrimental to their successful family life with the added FBI work mixed in keeping the thrills intense and growing. The story flows smoothly and clearly. The few moments of confusion are deliberate and set the stage for a huge plot twist.

The narrators, Therese Plummer and Gabriel Vaughan tell the story from the character's point of view broken down by male/female point of view. This helps to keep the characters and plot straight AND keeps the narrator from trying to sound like the opposite gender. They both speak clearly and with the level of energy needed for each character.

This is a highly entertaining book with thrills a minute, secrets, betrayals, and action!

There were no issues with the quality or production of this audiobook.

As good as Chasing Cleopatra

I really enjoyed Chasing Cleopatra but expected to be somewhat disappointed in the sequel. What a surprise to find I enjoyed Chasing Othello as much or more!! It really built from the first chapter and when it reached the conclusion everything was made clear-just the way most readers want it!! Congratulations to Tina!!
