About this listen

Alice was wrong. Wonderland wasn't so wonderful after all.

Kat never expected to be back in her hometown, but when house sitting turns into a mad rabbit chase, Kat finds herself with a whole new set of problems.

A two-headed bird with a Game of Thrones obsession, a party full of tea addicts, and a Cheshire Cat who could seduce the pants off her grandma? And if the citizens weren't bad enough, their prince was off his rocker.

This wasn't your run of the mill Wonderland. This was the fae world, where rules are rules, and some things are exactly as they seem.

Chasing Rabbits

“I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.”

Alice in Wonderland - adult version!
This was an interesting version of Wonderland. Kat goes chasing after a "rabbit" that has been stealing carrots from her garden and falls to the underground (after Alice has already been there), where the story takes on some strange and kooky rules that must be obeyed. I liked the way she had "trip" - the "rabbit" she follows down the hole - talked...I'm not sure why...its rather annoying that he repeats everything but I still liked him. My overall favorite character was the Cheshire Cat. I think the Fae "magic" may blur the lines a little with the endorphins so keep that in mind.

This book definitely won't be for everyone its weird, strange, crazy but completely original but blurs the lines in some places. That being said...

I personally can not wait until the next book.

Happy reading everyone!

This book surprised me! So good!

This book surprised me. At best I thought this was going to be a different perspective of the Alice in Wonderland story. An interesting story but I wasn't expecting amazing. And that's what this book is - amazing.

The author wrote an intriguing story with touches of the Alice in wonderland story interlaced but with a completely different spin on the world.

The narration was wonderfully done. Smooth and easy to listen to as well as defined voices.

I would definitely suggest this book to anyone looking for a Fae world book, with drama, danger, lies, deception, sexy men, and twists at every turn. I'll defiantly be listening to book 2 - and hope the series will continue!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided the voluntary review.

Nice spin on Wonderland

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I thought this was a pretty good spin on Alice in Wonderland. I liked the Fae explanation for Wonderland. The quirky world created by Erin Bedford is interesting and the characters are fun to listen to. I thought the narration was good as well. All in all, I'd definitely like to continue the series.

This story takes you down the rabbit hole

I was given this book for free in exchange foran UNBIASED REVIEW.

Ok so when I first received this book I thought it was going to be a modern day rendition of Alice in Wonderland! Boy was I wrong!

Let me explain! The story is about Cat, a socially awkward, dry sense of humor 22 year old from a wealthy family, with an overbearing mom who prefers to just be left alone. While chatting with her mom one night about her lack of boyfriend and other rubbish, she spots the rabbit who has been stealing carrots out of her garden. And what does she do, she chases him to a cave that she and her sister used to play in. She's sucked into a rabbit hole and into a world that humans are forbidden, AND on the worst day possible.

This Underworld that she's found herself into is nothing like the book she read of Wonderland. In fact things are trying to either kill her, seduce her, rape her, trick her, behead her or feed off her at every turn. There are rules in the Underworld and NOTHING is free. These are things shemust remember as she tries to find her way back home.

AWESOME story! Not only is it artfully written, the narrator is marvelous!!! Oh, and this IS NOT a book for kids!

Not Alice’s Wonderland

Wow! This is what I think of when they say “going down the rabbit hole”. I love retellings of Alice in Wonderland, but that’s not what this is.

When Kat follows the rabbit she ends up in the Underground. The adventure Kat goes through is definitely not the same old story. I didn’t know where the story was going to go and I loved the adventure. Kat has more adventure to embark on and I can’t wait to see how this story plays out!

Decent, overall

It took me a while to finish this book. It started out slow for me, and then got better. Towards the end, it got hard to finish again, but the twist at the end was actually decent. The main character was so unlikable, in my opinion. I really couldn't stand her. I also felt like the story was incomplete in some areas, and many times I felt like a thesaurus was needed, as there were a few words and phrases used so many times, it became eye roll inducing. while I cringed at parts, I think overall, it was decent. I won't listen to again, but it did leave me curious about book #2. I wish it was on Audible!

Entertaining Story!

I enjoyed this alternative Wonderland story. The story basically describes Catherine (Cat's) journey through the Underland after she follows what she thinks is a rabbit, gets lost, and tries to get back home. She meets a cast of colorful characters who are similar in some ways, yet very different, from the Wonderland characters you remember. She experiences many adventures, some twisted, some erotic, as she learns about the land and its inhabitants, and why humans are prohibited. This is a very creative and well-constructed story. I would have preferred a different ending, but that is just me. YMMV.

The narration was fantastic and really enhanced the pleasure of the audiobook.

Wonderful Fantasy

Chasing Rabbits is a fantastic fantasy. The references to Alice in Wonderland are on point. I am so glad that I listened to this on audiobook - the narrator truly brings the story and characters to life with distinct voices. Kat is stubborn and does everything she is told not to which is annoying but I am hoping as the story progresses she will grow. The supporting characters are great especially not so innocent little trip and mop. I look forward to more in this series and from this author

Dark Sexy Alice!!!

This is not your normal Alice in Wonderland. It really isn't even Alice in Wonderland lol, more like Kat in Wonderland. I love how this book is so much different than the normal story line. It's so much more than the original. It's dark an sinister and yet at the same time its hauntingly beautiful. There are so many questions that are opened and not nearly enough answered fast enough, but at least you won't be alone in this feeling. The main character (Kat) is even frustrated with not enough answers. Even though I say its frustrating and everything else this is actually a really great read and just drags you into it because of how it slowly gives you information and how the whole story is sexy in a dark way. The entire time I was reading this i kept asking what is going to happen next and couldn't wait to turn the page and find more.

Lisa has an amazing voice and changing to for so many characters was awesome. I loved how everyone sounded so different and unique. Lisa made me love this story even more than I had already loved it.
