Short Stories

Though alright reading/listening, not my preference. This book is a bunch of disjointed and unrelated short stories. Stories written mostly concerning the asian or Mongolian culture, though different from other books I have read/listen to not to my Personal liking.

A very entertaining series of short stories.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from The Chronicles of Maradoum, but I’m very glad I took the chance to listen to this collection of tales from Maradoum. Each of these short tales is a complete story and I found all of them to be very entertaining. Additionally, I really enjoyed Joseph Turner’s narration, his various voices for the variety of characters really made the story come alive. I’m looking forward to listening to Volume 2 of this series.

Awesome Anthology

Chronicles of Maradoum, Volume 1 - by Ross Hughes

I love well written short stories, and these were especially enjoyable. The stories can be read in any order. A cast of intriguing characters and quirky tales, set in the same world as the Epic Fantasy Convent series, that begins with "A Dead Wizards Dream". These stories showcase lands and people as yet unseen in this wonderful and richly imagined world of magic, swords and sorcery.

The narration is excellent and great to hear those names and places trip off the tongue of Joseph Turner. As always, narration provides an extra dimension to the enjoyment of these stories.

Well-written stories from a very good author

Chronicles of Maradoum Volume 1: A Fantasy Anthology, my third read from author Ross C. Hughes. An enjoyable anthology of 11 fantasy short stories. I look forward to reading more from this author. Joseph Turner's narration made this re-read worthwhile. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Stories

This is not my favorite type of book. As it is written it has very good stories in it with morals to them.

Fantasy Stories

An interesting assortment of fantasy stories that were all enjoyable to read. It does contain some adult language and scenes so it is not for children.
