About this listen

Clam jam. Definition: the female equivalent of a cock block. Example: You're chatting with a guy you're interested in, and your friend comes along and lays claim to him.

Maggie: That's my life - except it's worse. My friend who keeps "jamming" me is my gay roommate.

Fact: He went home with three - yes, three - of the guys I had been so sure were into me.

Fact: He's really pissing me off. I'll never manage to get a boyfriend before the age of 50 if he keeps this up.

Fact: Secretly, I wonder what it would be like if he weren't gay. Why do all the hot, sweet, tender-hearted guys have to be gay?

Ry: The day I interviewed for the room to rent, everything changed. I knew I had met the girl, except there was one small problem: She'd been burned badly and didn't want to deal with a heterosexual guy as a roommate. I could've found another place to live, but I wanted to live there - with her. So I had to go undercover.

Fact: I'm in love with my roommate.

Fact: She's going to hate me if I come clean now.

Fact: I'm not giving up. Which means I'll just have to continue to run defense until I figure out a way to get Maggie to see the real me.

Contains mature themes.

no other name would do

This book...shaking my head...was absolutely ridiculous and over the tip filled with awesomeness. At first, I wanted it because of the obscene and absurdly fitting title. Once I started it, I couldn't stop. It's like a trainwreck of epic wtf were you thinking moments.

You can't help but to fall for these characters. You know the whole time how off the wall and wrong the situation is but you can't help but to invest in it.

I would be a horrible person/friend/reviewer If I didn't tell you to buy it. Buy it now!!!!!

A little drawn out

Great storyline and premise but it's drawn out a few hours too long.

Entering and endearing.

Loved the story, characters and all clam jamming!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes! It was a good story with great narrators!

What did you like best about this story?

I loved how much Ry loved Maggie and all he was willing to do for her.

What does Elizabeth Hart and Jeremy York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They brought this story to life for me. They made me connect with Ry and Maggie.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the napkin writting between Ry and Maggie. It was so sweet. But there is a moment at the end, in the rain, that brought tears to my eye!

Any additional comments?

A great story and amazing narrators!

Could have been better

The story had so much potential to be better. I feel like whenever it could have went in a fun direction, they characters just kind of droned on. Then there were a few really funny parts. I usually never say this, but it could be have been shorter, because some dialogue got repetitive.

Cute listen.

I liked this book, but it should’ve been shorter. Some chapters were just repetitive and just fillers. Would’ve been better if it was condensed and not dragged out.

Good potential not more

The book have so much potential and the start of it was promising but.... form the middle of the book it was repetitive, exhausting, and all I could think was how what the hell is there to tell in 1-2-3-4 hours ... (and not surprisingly there wasn't....)

Took too long to get to the meat of the story

I liked the story and I think it could’ve been a fantastic story, easily five stars but the reason I gave it three stars was it took way too long to get to the part where the truth was finally revealed. it should’ve been done so many chapters earlier and then finally when the truth does come out we get such a short amount of time to enjoy them as a true couple. I hate to say this but it took me forever to read this book because I would get so frustrated and put it down and not want to read it again but I wanted so badly to see how it all turned out, every time I would pick it back up again I would think okay it has to be happening very shortly, I just know it but then nope, disappointed again. I thought well how long now, how many more times do we have to read about him claim jamming her and then when they cross a line still no true feelings admitted, it just drug on and on. I really want to read the next story blue balls with Sarah and Jack but I hope that story at least flows along way better. The narrators performance were great.

I feel let down

I have other books in my library that have been narrated by the narrators but they weren't the best for this book in my opinion. I felt that there was a lot of filler in this book that made it drag on. I was very excited to listen to this book but I was disappointed and I feel let down. I couldn't finish it so I skipped around to a few chapters and finally went to the last couple of chapters so I could find out how it ended.
