Publisher's summary

The beer's not the only thing getting tapped.

Callie:

I have a secret. It’ll get me fired if my boss ever finds out...which shouldn’t be a problem except for one thing: my coworker, Reid Morgan. He’s cocky, aggravating, and that hot-as-sin mouth simultaneously makes me want to slap him and melt into the mattress. Now that he’s discovered my secret, he’s doing everything in his power to take my job.

Reid:

I have a problem: my pint-sized spitfire of a coworker who’s primed to take my promotion. She’s infuriating, sexy as hell, and I just can’t seem to keep my hands off her. Now, we’re both vying for the same position...and only one of us can come out on top.

Loved

This book was really good. I loved Callie and how she didn't give in to Reid right off the bat. Reid was kind of a douchebag on and off in this book but it added just enough drama to make this book good.

Cute story but...

Ok so the enemies to lovers story is cute loved the banter between Reid and Callie. The fire between them when they were fighting for the same job was hot especially since they couldn’t stay way from each other but the H yes he was jerk but the h was also at fault for how things went down and they just both needed to grow up they both acted like teenagers.

Beer and chemistry.

Callie and Reid are the kind of soft enemies to lovers that I want more from, but didn’t exactly get. Not that they didn’t have chemistry, I might have wanted a little more conflict. That’s really on me though.

It’s a good book and I really liked the narrators. The handling of some situations were done well by the writers and the sex scenes were good. It just wasn’t all that for me.

Hilarious!!

This book was one of the funniest books I've read this year!! The banter, the passion, the arguments kept me wanting to listen all the way to the end! I can't wait to read more by this duo!

unpopular opinion here- I'm all for the hero

I bought this audiobook because I love the narrators and the enemies to lovers spin. Also the blurb sounded interesting. I didn't know the authors. Big mistake!

SPOILER ALERT ********

This book starts with a lie that I - a person who used to hire people - find abhorrent - lying on your resume on a critical for the employer skill. Then doubling down when a person, who spent years behind the counter, challenges you on it. Who applies for a managerial position in a beer bar hating beer? It's just a dumb idea. Yes the hero was a jerk and should have explained why he was hostile to the H in the first place, but I still think the heroine couldn't redeem herself. Also who works in a bar behind the counter for months and doesn't have spare clothes? C'mon. I have never worked in any food establishment but this is what I'd bring to work on the first day. Boring and annoying plot overall.

Ok but..

Overall good story..but our “hero” was very questionable. Might have been alpha in the bedroom but couldn’t speak up for what he wanted professionally and created a lot of drama because he was childish and petty. He literally dropped the girl when he found out he was going to get what he wanted while knowing it would hurt her, even though she was responsible for their boss taking new notice of his work ethic. He groveled at the end but he was a douche canoe for a good chunk of the story. I liked that the heroine stood up for her man, and to him at times. She did struggle standing up to her parents but eventually did. First story in awhile that the most immature one was the guy. Great narration though.
