About this listen

Cocky racing driver Tyler Joseph is sidelined after one risk too many. After being at the center of a fiery crash, he's forced to rest and recover at his best friend's farmhouse or he'll miss the rest of the season. Tyler does what he wants, though, and what he wants right now is the hot, sexy little physical therapist whose hands only touch him where it hurts.

Alec Lands is a sucker for a pretty face, and Tyler's too much temptation to bear. He's promised himself he'll stop dating trouble, but Tyler is flirty, dirty, and stubborn as hell. He can't resist, even though it could end both their careers.

What was supposed to be a one-time thing leads to more. They can't stop. No matter how hard they try, they can't shake this chemistry that pulls them together, and the longer it goes, the worse the consequences of discovery. Tyler's career and Alec's family are as homophobic as each other, and every risk they take could end them forever...but Alec wants to keep up with Tyler's fast-paced life, and Tyler is tired of leaving men in the dust. Can they both resist hitting the brakes on their maybe-forever when it turns out that old habits die hard?

Clutch is a standalone gay romance novel with a HEA ending and no cliffhanger.

You are my adrenaline

Another lovely and sexy addiction to our Significant brothers collection and this is very exciting and fast-paced!

Tyler has always been chasing that heart-thumping adrenaline for all his life. That is until one day where he ended up in a horrible crash and had to stop and take a rest before he continues doing what he loves. And Tyler is as reckless as his racing style when it comes to men too. His cute little physiotherapist Alec whose hands are magic. Two very different men with two very different lives but the lane they are driving is somehow the same.

Fast-paced, thrilling, sexy and funny just as always. I loved that connection and understanding between Tyler and Alec as well as their explosive chemistry. And their friends are so cute too. Despite their horrible families, these two men were able to find all the happiness in the world and I love it. Can’t wait to start listening another book in the series.

Tyler and Alec

Clutch is book 5 in the Significant Brothers series. This is a wonderful story about Tyler, a racecar driver, and Alec, a physical therapist. When Tyler is injured in a race Alec becomes his physical therapist. Though these two aren't public with their sexuality they develop feelings for each other. This story has all the feels as Tyler and Alec discover how to be true to themselves as they fall in love with each other. I recommend this book and series.
Narrator Greg Boudreaux does a marvelous job.

Hot Chemistry

After a crash, racing driver Tyler is forced to go to his best friend's farmhouse and recover or miss the rest of the season. While there he meets his sexy physical therapist, Alec. Alec promised himself he would stop dating guys who were trouble, but he is drawn to Tyler, and they can't resist. A one-time thing ends up continuing on, even though it could end both of their careers, and hurt Alec's relationship with his homophobic family. Both men want to keep up whatever they are doing, but are they able to fight old habits.
This is the 5th book in the Significant Brothers Series, and as with the others of this series, it is absolutely wonderful. You need to read them in order to get the full effect but each is so beautiful and rich both in setting and characters. This book is no different. You meet Tyler in previous books, and you get to see his sweet yet hot romance here. Love this series and can't wait for more, both in this series and from the author!

enjoyed it

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes

Story comment: good pace, engaging characters and an entertaining story.
I like that both Tyler and Alec are independent, intelligent men who have an inner strength and stand up when it counts. This is another great addition to the Significant Brothers series. Watching Ty and Alec find their way was charming and I liked that Ty's coming out wasn't a big thing.

Narrator comment: Greg Boudreaux's masterful performance works perfectly and brings the story and it's characters to life. His rhythm, changes in pitch, intonation's and the cadence of his voice all work perfectly to provide me with a completely immersible audio experience.

This sporty romance was a delight to listen to!

I've been having so much fun listening to each of the Significant Brothers fall in love, so I went into this story already expecting to love Tyler and his romantic interest. Alec and Tyler were every bit as adorable as I'd hoped, and I thought the physiotherapist/recovering athlete pairing was an interesting one. For a story with such lively, energetic characters, it was surprisingly mellow. Tyler spent most of the book recovering from his injuries, so there weren't many adrenaline-pumping races to set me on edge. That being said, the more laid-back pace didn't stop me from enjoying this story at all. If anything, it gave me plenty of time to sink my teeth into the wonderfully sweet, steamy attraction between these men. While the growing romance was undeniably the star of this audio, I was very intrigued by the background suspense plot surrounding the racing community. Greg B once again did an excellent job narrating this expansive cast of characters, and as a whole I have no complaints about his performance!

PT Alec heals Tyler's body and heart!

Oh, how I love my Significant Brothers! Tyler and Alec are so perfect for each other they don't stand a chance of falling in love from their very first meeting, despite what they try to tell themselves.
I love how the Brothers (and boyfriends) come together as a safety, emergency rescue team in case of need.

I loved Tyler's cockyness and Alec's smarth mouth, and his take-charge attitude!

Racy and Real

Clutch is another great entry in this terrific Significant Brothers series. Here, our couple is race car driver Tyler, who we actually know little about from the prior books, and Alec, the physical therapist who treats Tyler after Tyler literally crashes and burns on the race track. Tyler and Alec are multi-dimensional characters that work really well together and the story shows how their relationship unfolds and their love develops in a very authentic way. They are racy, steamy and sexy together while also respectful and loving to each other. This story could have so easily fallen into the trite patient falls for the caregiver trope, but refreshingly, it didn't become that at all. The author does some great world-building and threads some low-level background suspense surrounding the competition in the racing community throughout. The romance is not a slow-burn, as this trope typically is, but rather Tyler and Alec get together early on and then grapple with the struggles and issues that arise as they navigate their relationship. It’s also much more laid back than I expected given the personalities of the two MCs, in particular Tyler, the adrenaline junkie. For me, that was a bit of a disappointment because I expected the pace to match the profession (we are talking about race car driving after all). But nevertheless, it still worked. The book, of course, includes the always intriguing Significant Brothers, and, in particular, we get to see more of Josh as a build up to his story in Book 6.

Greg Boudreaux’s narration is terrific. He embodies these characters with totally distinct voices and his vocalizing is words packed with emotion. His pacing is just right and his diction is clear and concise. He has a way of delivering spoken lines exactly as you’d hear them if you were there speaking to the character in real life: the pauses, emphasis, breathing, growling, gasping, … all of it. And he delivers the lines by incorporating the context around the line he’s reading. All in all, an excellent job as usual. I definitely recommend this very enjoyable audiobook.

Fast and emotional

Ty has spent what feels like his entire life chasing adrenaline then he meets Alex. Alex has decided that he is not going to date anyone that even hints at being trouble then Ty comes barreling into his therapy appointment. As these two try to figure out their relationship, how it will go once the racing world finds out about Ty and Alex's family finds out? Well, I'll just say that yet again, E. Davies has shown superior skills at writing emotions that pull you into the story and you seriously expect to see the characters walking around.

Spectacular!

I absolutely love this series and this book is no exception, it’s spectacular. Tyler and Alec are perfect together, they just fit so well and their chemistry is off the charts. I love that the story itself is low angst and that Tyler and Alec develop their relationship slowly but without letting others dictate their course. The narrator was wonderful with this story and all of the characters. It was great to see the other Significant Brothers and I can’t wait to get Josh’s story! I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

Can't wait for the next.

Awesome add to the series. Tyler and Alec are more similar than they know, both struggling to find a balance in their lives so when doubt or past insecurities surface they fall back on what they know. I knew I'd like this book just because it's by E. Davies, but add in Greg Boudreaux's voice with a clear tone that flows into each chapter and I was hooked all over again. This is about a passion, expressing a part of yourself and a family which comes to live with this perfect audio.
