Publisher's summary

"Thor tops himself again and again." (BookReporter.com)

"Feels like the TV show 24 on the page." (The Associated Press)

Includes an extended behind-the-scenes conversation with author Brad Thor and narrator Armand Schultz.

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Brad Thor presents his greatest thriller ever—an action-packed literary tour de force!

Hidden deep within one of the world's most powerful organizations is a secret committee with a devastating agenda. Its members are afforded incredible protections—considered elites, untouchables.

But when four seconds of video is captured halfway around the world and anonymously transmitted to DC, covert wheels are set in motion, and counterterrorism operative Scot Harvath is tapped to undertake the deadliest assignment of his career.

What begins as a favor will evolve into a globe-spanning drama of highly personal stakes played out against a backdrop of stunning international intrigue, duplicitous political gamesmanship, and the darkest, most clandestine fears of the espionage world.

With razor-sharp plotting, richly rendered characters, and heart-stopping surprises on every page, Thor isn't just at the top of his game—he owns the entire genre.

Riveting as always

I loved this novel, I was frustrated in the beginning cause my wife was in labor and I needed to focus on my wife and not listen to this book :) But after my family obligations were taken care of I couldn't turn it off. With the usual roller coaster ride Scot goes through to protect this country and the ones he loves, I know this is fiction, but the scenarios Brad Thor guides us through in his novels are so real it's hard to not feel as if you are part of the story. Urging the characters along to find the solutions. I am a fan for life, Brad we do need another Athena Series Novel

Great story. This author is one of my favorites

Thor never disappoints his readers and this book proved it again. Not as action packed as some but a great story line and keeps you interested the entire story.

brothel in K4???

Seriously, who researched the Jewish religious community of Kiryat Arba ? A brothel there? you've got to be kidding. I'd love to know how you came up with this. I've been to Kiryat Arba numerous times, as I have family who live nearby. My grandchildren go to religious schools there and the population is only about 7300 people. I can understand a brothel in tel Aviv or other city, but certainly not k4

#! GodFather of the Genre!

Brad Thor demonstrates a remarkable ability to be keep readers focused to the point of forsaking everything to see what happens next in each book of this series. He has a heavy hitting protagonist in Scot Harvath who is truly amazing.

Scot Harvas has a private life!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. Harvas has feelings for a woman in this one and the plot about weaponized plagues is frightening and realistic. Great story!

Best Book Yet!

Brad Thor has really surpassed my expectations on this one. Scot Harvath has faced the ultimate genocide possible and still keeps swinging. I couldn’t stop listening to this book until it was finished. Great job! This one will be hard to top.

i admit I adore Harvath

Brad Thor keeps it thrilling, which is difficult in a series this long lived! Scot is a great character with real depth and the story lines continue to be cutting edge. Not to mention I could listen to Armand Schultz all night long, oh wait I did.

Another fantastic read

BT does it again. AS is at his best as well. I was looking forward to another installment and I was definitely not disappointed. I liked the addition of personal emotions of SH. Of course N is one of my favorite character. It seemed there was more interaction and feelings of the full cast. YEAH...when is the next? Can't wait.
