Publisher's summary

Broken and dented. Thrown away. No memories.

Codi doesn’t know where he comes from or why he’s in serious need of repairs.

But strong-willed, kind-hearted Denise takes him into her home, and her five-year-old son is pulling his wires like heartstrings.

He'll stop at nothing to stay by this family's side and become the man they need.

A man who can cook, clean, organize, and keep my kid entertained all day? Where the hell has he been my entire life?

Denise Cartwright never imagined how life-changing an android assistant could be.

When she finds Codi thrown in a dumpster behind her favorite New Carnegie bar, she agrees he can stay for as long as he likes.

He's ridiculously hot, smart, and great with kids. He doesn’t judge her busy lifestyle or her cluttered house.

What more could a woman ask for?

Awakening desires she hasn't felt in years, Codi seems too good to be true. Cybernetic programming might come in handy, sure.

But love? Love is a let-down, and her son Lucas comes first.

Can Codi show Denise his love is worth the risk, even when all hope seems lost?

My first SciFi romance

This was a wonderful story. Very imaginative and honestly came to life with the voice actor. I am thrilled I had the opportunity to ARC read/listen and will definitely read more of the authors works.

Sweet Cyborg AI Romance!

This is the second book in the New Carnegie Androids Series, a cyborg AI romance. This is a series of interconnected stories, with an ongoing plot. Codi and Denise's story is sweet, and fast-paced. Codi is handsome, caring, and very protective. Denis, a single mom, is beautiful, strong, and smart. Her son is so cute!! Christian Leatherman did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listening Dominic, the next book in the series.

Codi, an instant marshmallow book boyfriend!

If you’re looking for a marshmallow book boyfriend, look no further, Codi is here! Codi, the android who’s a cross between a “certified dreamboat” boyfriend and a beaten puppy dog. This is another great story in the New Carnegie series, which is a medium-slow burn romance, 3/5 steam, and a man willing to whatever it takes to be with this family. For the narration, I once again enjoyed Christian Leatherman, he does a great job making all the different characters sound like individuals, even though he didn’t get to voice as many this time. Definite must read, and this series will always be a repeat in my library.

codi

I like the concept and all the thought put into how androids would function in our world and how humans would definitely act since we're so afraid of change.

Codie and Denise

Codie is found hurt, damaged with no memory but an unexplainable fear. Also a confusion of why he has an emotion like fear. He tries to find a way in life, but will his past come back to haunt him?

Denise is a single mother and a nurse. Out on a girl's night out with her bestie they come across some drunk men trying to burn somthing in an alley. Chasing them away, she finds out its a android. Her and her bestie bring him home. Let the crazy swooniness issue!

I'm obsessed with this series! The narration is wonderful and the story is out of this world! Must read/listen!.

Codi

This is Denise and Codi's story. What will Denise do when she finds Codi in a dumpster? Can she repair him? Will Codi be there for Denise and her son? Will he be more than a normal Android?.

4.5 stars

As you probably already know, I love this series and though you may want to read it in order, you definitely don't have to in order to enjoy it. Not only is it a futuristic love story, it's also a story of civil rights and the line between what's right and what is wrong when dealing with possible sentient, free thinking 'machines'.
McClaine is able to take the ridiculous and turn it to something wholly conceivable, utilizing humor and love. The only issue, is now I want a New Carnegie Android for myself! ;)

Stellar second book in New Carnegie Android series

This is my second audiobook and story that I’ve listened to by Roxie McClaine. This second book in the New Carnegie Android series exceeds expectations. You don’t need to listen/read the first book Oliver to enjoy this one. However it does enhance the backstory and characters mentioned in it.

The setting is still New Carnegie, Pennsylvania. Becca (from the 1st book “Oliver”) and her best friend Denise are out for ladies night. On their way out of a pub, they encounter a group of thugs beating and trying to burn an android next to the dumpsters.

Denise, firecracker that she is, steps into the fray and gets rid of the thugs. She tries to talk to the Android, but he doesn’t remember who he is, where he came from or anything at all. Weird that the Android has amnesia, it almost seems like an intentional mind wipe.

Denise ends up allowing the new Android to stay at her house. He takes the name Codi. He is astounded that Denise treats him as an equal not a slave. It doesn’t take long for the flame of romance to spark between Denise and Codi. Denise is a confident and attractive woman; she has no problems spending time with Codi. Even more so because Codi takes care of Denise’s 5 year old son, Lucas.

The story evolves with the growth of Codi in to his “new” life with Denise and Lucas. However, the mystery of his origins pops up at the least expected time and threatens their relationship.

You’ll have to listen to this compelling audiobook involving finding oneself, connecting with one another, deep passion and triumphing over the odds. You won’t be able to stop listening to go to sleep! (Just one more chapter)

New and previous readers of Roxie McClaine will be thoroughly entranced with Codi and Denise’s passionate and steamy romance. Guaranteed HEA and steamy scenes aplenty - you should listen to this audiobook!.

loved this book

I loved listening to this book. I like the smooth voice of the narrator as he read and changed his voice to sound like the character part he was reading. The story is good with plenty of slow burning, steamy love between a human and an android. There's conflict in the story as androids have replaced humans in some workforce. There's a protest group that's become violent and plenty of disapproving options about androids and human marring.
