About this listen
Kent Clizbe, the author of Cold Free Forever, has not had a cold in more than 15 years. He has not had a sinus infection in 15 years. He has not suffered from allergies in 15 years. Fifteen years. No colds. No allergies. No sinus infections. No flu. What's the secret? He made a series of changes to his daily routine. In this audiobook, you will learn his secret routine for cold-free, allergy-free, flu-free living.
The secret key to a snot-free life is three simple habits. You don't need any special equipment. You don't need any special medicine. You don't need any special foods, supplements, or shots.
First, you need a little understanding of the enemy - cold viruses and allergy-causing substances. Then, you need a little understanding of your body, especially your hollow head. And, most importantly, you need to practice a simple routine. At first it will be difficult. But once you get the hang of it, it will become natural. Stick with the routine. Adapt yourself to a new awareness and you, too, will be cold free forever! Learn the secrets! Stop sniffling, snorting, dripping, sneezing, blowing, coughing - forever! Secrets for a healthy life!

In the case of the recent virus, the most ideal carrier animal is a bat or snake. Since humans don’t consume snakes and bats in several areas of the world but in some places like China they are consumed, it is suspected that the new outbreak is linked to the consumption of an infected bat. The same is the cause for other virus outbreaks in the past.

Throughout most of evolution humans walked barefoot and slept on the ground, largely oblivious that the surface of the Earth contains limitless healing energy. Science has discovered this energy as free-flowing electrons constantly replenished by solar radiation and lightning. Few people know it, but the ground provides a subtle electric signal that maintains health and governs the intricate mechanisms that make our bodies work - just like plugging a lamp into a power socket makes it light up.

What won't we try in our quest for perfect health, beauty, and the fountain of youth? Well, just imagine a time when doctors prescribed morphine for crying infants. When liquefied gold was touted as immortality in a glass. And when strychnine - yes, that strychnine, the one used in rat poison - was dosed like Viagra. Looking back with fascination, horror, and not a little dash of dark, knowing humor, Quackery recounts the lively, at times unbelievable, history of medical misfires and malpractices.

Story
For centuries, the human heart seemed beyond our understanding: an inscrutable shuddering mass that was somehow the driver of emotion and the seat of the soul. As cardiologist and best-selling author Sandeep Jauhar tells in The Heart, it was only recently that we demolished age-old taboos and devised the transformative procedures that changed the way we live. Deftly alternating between historical episodes and his own work, Jauhar tells the colorful and little known story of the doctors who risked their careers and the patients who risked their lives to know and heal our most vital organ.

Story
Blood carries life, yet the sight of it makes people faint. It is a waste product and a commodity pricier than oil. It can save lives and transmit deadly infections. Each one of us has roughly nine pints of it, yet many don’t even know their own blood type. And for all its ubiquitousness, the few tablespoons of blood discharged by 800 million women are still regarded as taboo: menstruation is perhaps the single most demonized biological event.

A fascinating account of the world’s most famous disease - polio - told as you have never heard it before. Epidemics of paralysis began to rage in the early 1900s, seemingly out of nowhere. Doctors, parents, and health officials were at a loss to explain why this formerly unheard-of disease began paralyzing so many children. Why did this disease start to become such a horrible problem during the late 1800s? Why did it affect children more often than adults? Why was it originally called teething paralysis by mothers and their doctors?

Story
From the story of the desperate man from 17th-century Amsterdam who grimly cut a stone out of his own bladder to Bob Marley's deadly toe, Under the Knife offers a wealth of fascinating and unforgettable insights into medicine and history via the operating room. What happens during an operation? How does the human body respond to being attacked by a knife, a bacterium, a cancer cell, or a bullet? And, as medical advances continuously push the boundaries of what medicine can cure, what are the limits of surgery?

The universal instinct is to run from an outbreak of disease. These doctors run toward it. They always keep a bag packed. They seldom have more than 24 hours before they are dispatched. They are told only their country of destination and the epidemic they will tackle when they get there.

Story
There is nothing more essential to our health and well-being than breathing. Yet, as a species, humans have lost the ability to breathe correctly, with grave consequences. Journalist James Nestor travels the world to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. The answers aren’t found in pulmonology labs, as we might expect, but in the muddy digs of ancient burial sites, secret Soviet facilities, New Jersey choir schools, and the smoggy streets of São Paulo. Nestor tracks down men and women exploring the hidden science behind ancient breathing practices.

Story
In 1518, in a small town in Alsace, Frau Troffea began dancing and didn't stop. She danced until she was carried away six days later, and soon 34 more villagers joined her. Then more. In a month more than 400 people had been stricken by the mysterious dancing plague. In late-19th-century England an eccentric gentleman founded the No Nose Club in his gracious townhome - a social club for those who had lost their noses, and other body parts, to the plague of syphilis for which there was then no cure.

Story
Best-selling author Mary Roach returns with a new adventure to the invisible realm we carry around inside. Roach takes us down the hatch on an unforgettable tour. The alimentary canal is classic Mary Roach terrain: The questions explored in Gulp are as taboo, in their way, as the cadavers in Stiff and every bit as surreal as the universe of zero gravity explored in Packing for Mars. Why is crunchy food so appealing? Why is it so hard to find words for flavors and smells? Why doesn’t the stomach digest itself? How much can you eat before your stomach bursts?

Story
In the winter of 1918, at the height of World War I, history's most lethal influenza virus erupted in an army camp in Kansas, moved east with American troops, then exploded, killing as many as 100 million people worldwide. It killed more people in 24 weeks than AIDS has killed in 24 years, more in a year than the Black Death killed in a century. But this was not the Middle Ages, and 1918 marked the first collision between modern science and epidemic disease.

Mostly common sense
Most of the book is his personal history and not well researched information about a few ways that people have claimed they can prevent or cure colds. Finally at the end of the book he gets around to the point. I fully agree with his “three secrets” and have practiced the same techniques for about 20 years with great success. However, I felt like most of the book was a waste of time.

4 Years Ago I read This Book & 4 Years No Big Cold
This absolutely works. it's a 1 hour book and you really only need the last 20 minutes. I used to use cold meds all the time... about 1 package per month of Aprodine (the generic Sutafed that is now behind the counter) for probably 8 months out of the year. Now 4 years after reading this book I have not gone through 1 package of cold meds in 4 years... My office drawer still has the half used packages that were here when I quit using them because of this book.
I never left home without Aprodine, this was the only thing that worked. I would take one of those, then have to get a quad shot espresso just to stay awake. Then a few hours later I'd get the shakes, hunger and feel like a total crack addict and still be wiped out by the time I got home. Kent's method is amazingly simple...and free....
No he has not paid me to write this.... just get the book and save your self from using pharma drugs!
