Publisher's summary

Meg Long's Cold the Night, Fast the Wolves is a captivating debut about survival, found family, and the bond between a girl and a wolf that delivers a fresh twist on classic survival stories and frontier myths.

On a frozen wasteland of a planet, a girl is on the run with a wolf who is born to be a killer but bound to be her guide. As they fight to escape ice goblins, giant bears, and a ruthless leader intent on trapping them both, one question drives them relentlessly forward: Where do you turn when there is nowhere to hide?

The dystopian novel is fast-paced

I liked this dystopian, young adult novel. The plot is well thought out. The book is well written and wonderfully detailed. Cold the Night, Fast the Wolves is told from the main character’s perspective with an indifferent tone as if the story were occurring to another person. So, unfortunately, this is not the book for me. I was unable to fully get into it. Perhaps, this book best suits younger readers than me. Nonetheless, I’m most interested in reading Meg Long’s next novel!

Thank you to Netgalley, Wednesday Books/St. Martin’s Press, and Meg Long for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

Exciting new series

I’m always impressed when an author can write a YA novel that parents can read and enjoy just as much as their kids. (Hunger Games, Maze Runner, etc) This story is in that realm and I’m excited for this new author to be on the scene creating a world that parents and their teen kids can submerse themselves in together.
Looking forward to the next installment!!!

Loved it

This was a fantastic story of love and perseverance against all odds. I was hooked from chapter 1. I can’t wait for the next book. I also can’t wait to see this made as a movie or at least it would make a great movie!
