The audiobook is focused and high-yield, covering the most important topics you might expect to learn in a typical undergraduate organic chemistry course. The material is accurate, up-to-date, and broken down into bite-sized chapters. There are key takeaways following each chapter to drive home key points and quizzes to review commonly tested questions.

Here are the main topics we’ll be covering:

  • Chemical Bonding in Organic Chemistry

  • Organic Solvent Chemistry
  • Alkanes, Alkenes, and Alkynes
  • Aldehydes, Carboxylic Acids, and Ketones
  • Cyclic Organic Compounds
  • Aromatic Compounds
  • Alcohols, Alkyl Halides
  • Ethers, Epoxides, and Esters
  • Enols and Enolates
  • Thiols and Sulfides
  • Nitrogen-containing Organic Molecules
  • Substitution Reactions
  • Elimination Reactions
  • Addition Reactions
  • Oxidation and Reduction Reactions in Organic Chemistry

We will conclude the course with a 200-question practice test. Also included is a follow-along PDF manual containing the entire text of this audio course as well as all images, figures, and charts we’ll be discussing. To get the most out of this course, we recommend that you listen to the entire audio once while following along in your PDF manual, then go back and listen to areas you found challenging.

More of a Reference Book

The flow of Organic Chemistry information here is overwhelming. These complex topics are handled as a massive reference guide, rather than a learning tutorial.
If you are trying to learn OC this is not the tool. It's like trying to learn a foreign language from a dictionary. Perhaps if you are already an OC expert this book might be a good overall review of all the common structures, hybridization, bonding and other pertinent topics.
Youtube provides much better lessons from easier to understand instructors and awesome associated animation. Organic Chem is a rough subject to master and this book surely doesn't make it any easier.

It reads as if it was written by an alien

The sentence structure is a mess, which is very distracting. The choice of words is equally strange. It's hard to follow even while reading the pdf and already being familiar with the concept being explained.
