About this listen

A betrayal exposed. A shattered marriage. A step of faith.

Bobbi Molinsky had it all - a successful husband, two great boys, and a job she loved - then she opens a stray email from the newest attorney at Chuck's firm and is blindsided by the discovery of his extramarital affair. An angry confrontation leaves her with the broken remains of their 18-year marriage.

Guided by their pastor, Chuck commits to do whatever it takes to win Bobbi back, but she is wrestling with much more than his infidelity. Caught between a crisis of faith and her deepest fears, trust is a risk she can't afford to take.

Faith and real life meet head on in the Covenant of Trust series and Contingency is where it all begins. If you want characters you instantly connect with, authentic struggles that are raw, honest, and platitude-free, wrapped a story that pulls you in and won't let go, you want Contingency by Paula Wiseman.

A good story to remind of the Grace of God

This isn’t a mystery so while you have a good idea of where things are headed, it’s teachable and you learn and are reminded about consequences of poor choices and how Gods grace is big and covers our sins

Good story, narration not so much

Narrators did ok when speaking as the main characters but when they tried to speak as the children or other secondary characters, it went downhill fast. It sounded like someone trying to mimic a person they were mocking. Fake southern accept of pastor was ridiculous. If you can get past all of that, it’s ok.

A Must Read!

I just finished listening to Contingency and I don't even have the words to say how much I loved this audio book. The story is full of betrayal, infidelity and confrontation, but throughout their struggles Bobbie and Chuck's faith withstands the trials that many couples face today. Paula Wiseman's story along with the narration by Moe Egan and Jeffrey Kafer make this audio book amazing! I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series.
