Publisher's summary

Baker Katie Lightfoot serves up enchanted delicacies and tracks down a malicious murderer in the newest installment of this New York Times best-selling series....

Hedgewitch Katie Lightfoot is juggling wedding preparations, a visit from her father, and home renovations on top of her long hours at the Honeybee Bakery, where she and her aunt Lucy imbue their yummy cookies and pastries with beneficial magic. But when firefighter Randy Post is accused of murdering a collector of rarities, and his prints are on the statue that was used to kill the man, Katie steps in.

Randy is not only Katie's fiance's coworker, but also the boyfriend of fellow spellbook club member and witch Bianca Devereaux. Bianca and Declan are both sure Randy is innocent, and so is Katie. However, to prove it she'll have to work with ornery detective Peter Quinn again - and this time around he knows she's more than your everyday baker.

Loved it...best one yet!

Loved it! Although I am still Team Steve, love that bad boy! I thought this was one of the best of the series so far and Amy Rubinate's narration is very good. Looking forward to Katie finding Conal (not sure of the spelling?), I mean you can't leave us hanging!

Very interesting series

I really like this series and have read all of them. The Characters are each interesting and the combination of a bakery with magic is an interesting combination to me. I enjoy the idea and the way that each character has a uniqueness. This is unusual for me since magic stories are not usually appealing to me.

WELL WORTH THE WAIT

THIS MAY BE THE BEST BOOK IN THE SERIES, SO FAR. EVEN AS A COZY, PARTS OF IT KEPT ME ON THE PROVERBIAL EDGE OF MY SEAT., AND THE PROMISE OF MORE TO COME IS TANTALIZING. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK.

Can't wait for #9

I have sincerely enjoyed this series by Bailey Cates. I did not realize that I had finished all the books that had been published for the Magical Mystery Bakery Series and was disappointed when I went to download the next one only to find there wasn't one yet! The women of the Spell Book Club are so individually refreshing and the bakery is wonderful. If you like magical mystery entertainment - this is a great series.

Cookies and Clairvoyance

Another great book in this series by Bailey Cates. It was touch and go, I thought all was lost, but here comes help from an unexpected source. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend this series.

Amy Rubinate is an excellent narrator.

I can't wait for another book in all her series.

What happens when Katie tries to “see” to solve a murder?

Another odd murder of a man who collects magical and paranormal items, and Katie’s friend is the number 1 suspect. Can Katie solve this case with a minimum of help from Detective Quinn? Can her Coven help her develop a temporary sight to see who the murder is? When magic backfires, what will Katie do? Can she recover in time to prepare for her wedding?
I would love the recipes for the sweet and savory destined in all the books!!
