About this listen

Sworn To Raise

Seventeen-year-old Ciardis has grown up in poverty, a cleaner in a small vale on the outskirts of the empire. But beneath her empire's seemingly idyllic surface lies a hidden secret. Whispers of an inept crown Prince are growing ever louder - intensified by the five year anniversary of the soulbond initiations.

Amidst scandalous whispers, Ciardis finds herself chosen to train for the Companions Guild. She leaves her home and sets off on a personal journey to become a Court Companion. A position she'd never thought possible for a lowly servant to obtain, she must prove that she has the skills to attract a Patron.

But she must master those skills quickly. If the legends are true, only Ciardis can harness the power to raise a Prince in an Imperial Court sworn to bring him down.

Sworn To Transfer

Eighteen-year-old companion trainee Ciardis Weathervane has won the friendship of the royal heir and saved his claim to the throne. Yet her interference in the inheritance rights leaves more harm done than good. The Ameles Forest lies unprotected and it's inhabitants are dying.

As humans begin to die in gruesome deaths, the Emperor dispatches the royal heir to the forests with the solution to the kith concerns.

With enemies closing ranks in Sandrin, Ciardis can little afford to leave the city's nest of vipers to take on a new task. But she's given no choice when her loyalty to the crown and courts are called into question.

Easy listen

Thankfully for having three books in one, even though I throughly enjoyed theses books, being for a young adult market made for a light entertaining read. That's said I'm glad this was a box set if I needed to buy these separately, it would be a waste a credits due to the price/book length. Can't wait for the next books to be released )hopefully in another boxed set) as according to the authors web site this is the first 3 of 13 books. All up this box set a great listen and value for money

More worthy, can't wait

Awesome action, adventure, intrigue and innocence coming of age all wrapped together in fantasy. Is there more coming? When is the movie or TV series coming out?

Please change narrator

The story is good; I'm enjoying them... the narrator is painful to listen to. You can tell she's reading, the breaks between words in the wrong places, and mispronounced words were all too distracting

narrator is wanting

Narrator is choppy. Inflection misplaced. Sentences with importantace or significance are left dangling. Alone.

I'd read it again

the story was interesting, though the main character is kind if annoying at times. I feel like the writing and word choice should be more expanded for the type of time period and world this is set in, but it's not bad as it is. As it is an audio book, the transitions to other people's perspectives are not always clear or adamant. I'm glad there hasn't been any important dream sequence, or it would only get really confusing! other than those bits it was a great story, and I am interested to know the rest.

Courtlight series rocks it.

I wasn't sure I would like it in the first chapter. upon reaching the second chapter I started thinking this is pretty good. By the end of the third book I really wanted more. Overall I loved the books they made me laugh, they made me sad and kept my interest. There were many late nights that I could not put it down. I will definitley be reading more from this author. I loved the interactions between the characters.

Don't waste your time.

Ugh. This trilogy was terrible. The story line was interesting enough, but the writing was so bad that I found myself rolling my eyes and hoping for horrible things to happen to the one dimensional characters. Also, the narrator mispronounced so many words that I wondered what her first language was, because it obviously wasn't English. Don't waste your time or money on this.

Not Sci-Fi & Fantasy, More like bad Mills and Boon

The story jumps from place to place. The Character doesnt develop. New magical powers appear without explanation or training. I always finish books but this one takes an enormous effort. The delivery by Ashley Arnold is flat, and not fluet.
Sorry this is in my bottom 10 books I have read.

Dont waste your time on this but you must Read: Brent Weeks, Joe Abercrombie or Neal Stephenson.
