Publisher's summary

Cowboy Fairytales: The Complete Collection includes all five romances in this series.

From book one in the Cowboy Fairytales series from a USA Today best-selling author:

A princess on the run finds sanctuary where she least expects it....

After nearly dying in an assassination attempt, Princess Alessandra of Glorvaird escapes to a place no one would ever think to look for her: small-town Oklahoma and a ranch staffed by a herd of woolly, uncouth cowboys. One cowboy in particular gets under her skin, until she sees his softer side. She knows this interlude can’t last forever, but that doesn’t stop her from wishing it might....

Former Navy SEAL Gideon Hale might’ve rescued the princess from freezing to death, but the soldier doesn’t trust easily - or at all - especially when his gut tells him Alessandra is keeping secrets. But as Alessandra begins to fit into his life, he discovers another side to the princess - one that he can’t help but like.

When Alessandra’s enemies close in, Gideon must fight to save the woman who has become so much more than a princess....

Tender

I am enjoying these books so far. The men are strong and vulnerable and so are the women! A touch of mystery adds spice to the stories!

Lovely Collection of Stories

I have been wanting to read this story for a while; I finally got to "read" by listening to it. There are five stories in this collection. I loved that they were all together, since they have a continuation of the story in each one. The narrator did a good job. I'm glad there was a footnote at the end that gave reference to the conclusion of the collection. I recommend this to anyone that loves romance and fairytales. The fact that it has cowboys makes the story more fun.

Five cowboy yarns for the price of one..,!

Author Lacy Williams and Narrator Lara Asmundson create a fun-filled series using great and continuing stories of a family of princesses falling for cowboys. These dreamy romances will send you into North Texas cowboy country. I recommend it.

Cowboys and Princess How Could you go Wrong

Cowboys and Princess' , wasn't sure it would work. But boy did it ever. If anyone could write a great story using this storyline, It would be Lacy Williams. I love her cowboy stories. This was a perfect example of Lady's writing style. This was a sweet, interesting and good read. Lacy leaves you wanting more. can't wait to see what happens next. I especially love being able to quilt or paint and listen to the Audible version. It's a win,win situation.

Fresh look at fairy tales

This collection of cowboy fairy tales is pretty clever. There were several times I forgot that I was reading a fairy tale, and then went, oh yeah! I even loved the gender bends in some of the stories. Each fairy tale was unique, but they all blended together so well!

Each book flowed seamlessly from one story to the next, and I liked having them all in one collection with the same narrator. Overall I felt like the reader did a good job. There were a few times I felt like her voices of the male characters (especially Gideon) made them sound a little dimwitted. But, seeing as I'm not a professional narrator and she is, I'm not sure I could have done much better.

I'm a big fan of this author and I've enjoyed everything of hers that I've read. This was no different. It's definitely worth a listen. I did feel like the ending didn't wrap up as nicely as I would have liked. There's basically a footnote at the end of the book telling you how to get the conclusion of the story for free. It would have been nice if it had been added to this collection.

Great Read

Cowboy Fairytales: The Complete Collection was a great read by Lacy Williams. This book consisted of five books; Once Upon a Cowboy, Cowboy Charming, The Toad Prince, The Beastly Princess and the Lost Princess. This series followed the Royal Family of Glorvaird. I absolutely loved reading these books and can’t wait to rad more by Lacy Williams.

Princess + Cowboy = Sweet Fairy tales!

I really enjoyed this collection of Cowboy Fairytales! There were Princesses, Cowboys, former Navy Seal, a Prince, a Cowgirl and other friends, foes and family that filled each story with life, drama, love, and happiness. Like other fairy tales, there are moral lessons in this collection. I don't give spoilers, you will have to listen for yourself to learn what those lessons are.
This is what I consider a "sweet" romance collection, meaning that there is hugging and kissing, some of it is toe-curling but it doesn't go beyond that. There are no sex scenes. There is a somewhat violent death and there are references to other violent traumas. They fit the story and were written very well.

I found the narration to be okay. There were a couple of times where the wrong name or word was used, that caused me to pause, rewind and listen again to make sure I knew who was being talked about.

I can't wait to listen to the Cowboy Fairytales Spinoffs!

Fairytales told with a cowboy twist

If you could sum up Cowboy Fairytales: The Complete Collection in three words, what would they be?

Interesting, fun and creative

Who was your favorite character and why?

Princess Alessandra is being hunted and must hide, I would not have had her voice made so soft as I felt she was stronger then that. She finds Gideon to be a bear yet still falls in love with him. You feel their love in all five books.

Have you listened to any of Lara Asmundson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first audible book I have read of Lacy Williams. Love the fact I could plug it into my car and listen while we drove. Also could listen while cleaning house or just sitting and relaxing.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Cowboys make good fairytales too.

Any additional comments?

It was fun listening to the stories though I felt there were unfinished business still to be told and that is why I gave it four stars.

Fairytales come alive in a totally new setting...

Once Upon A Cowboy
What a great introduction to this delightfully sweet romance series! And you just can't go wrong with a story featuring cowboys AND a dash of danger and intrigue.

Cowboy Charming
Of the two I have listened to so far I think this one was my favorite – I loved the twist on the old Cinderella fairytale! Definitely an enchanting and romantic story!

The Toad Prince
The title is perfect because the hero really starts out as a toad! But a sweet Texas gal totally changes his mind...and heart. This book is charming addition to the series!

The Beastly Princess
I think this was the story I was waiting for, to finally find out more about the disagreeable sister and the cowboy that would win her heart. And what an endearing story it was!

The Lost Princess
At long last readers/listeners get to find out about the missing princess and the cop who loves her. I enjoyed this one a lot because of the strong suspense thread!

Overall
This collection is a fun escape from the humdrum of everyday life and into the world of princesses and knights in Stetsons, not shining armor. Each one is a fairly quick read, or as in my case, listen.

I listened to the audiobook version of Cowboy Fairytales: The Complete Collection and I really enjoyed it. The narration was good, in fact, the same person narrated the entire collection which lent an air of continuity.

Sweet cowboy romance with a dash of whimsy and suspense. If you are looking for a good, clean, read or listen with a touch of faith, definitely check out this neat series from Lacy Williams.

(I received a copy of this audiobook from the author/publisher. All opinions are entirely my own.)

Delightfully royal

If you could sum up Cowboy Fairytales: The Complete Collection in three words, what would they be?

What a sweet, sweet collection of modern-day royal/cowboy fairy tales where the good guys win and eventually get to marry the love of their lives, with cute little kids and a couple of pets. Over 12 hours of delight. EnJoY! I have listening to it over and over again.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Favorite Characters? The Beastly Princess Eloise and her Beau Cody

What does Lara Asmundson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

European / royal and cowboy accents!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Eloise and Cody visiting the bakery and meeting one cute little girl! And, of course, their kiss at the beach.

Any additional comments?

Love listening to it again and again.
